Ultima- Unique elegance in Port Douglas

The apartment had a nice decor which I think can be described as having a Carribean influence. Definitely had a lux holiday vibe about it. The apartment was clean, tidy and nicely presented. There was a pleasant outlook over the swimming pool complex but the apartment always felt private at the same time as it wasn't situated in a way that neighbouring properties were looking down into it. There is a nice covered balcony with seating to enable relaxed out door living time. The location was superb. It was no more than an easy 10 minute walk to Macrossan Street. The host, who we never met, was nonetheless engaging and checked in with us to make sure everything was okay. We had the confidence that if we had any needs she would have been supportive. There were no strong dislikes. The apartment was a bit more compact than we would have preferred with little in the way of storage but once we settled in and sorted our bags it all worked well. Probably best suited for couples. You had to take a bit of "pot luck" with carparking. There is covered car parking but there was no allocation per apartment. There were fewer carparks than apartments. It wasn't an issue for us as we did manage to always have a car park space.

The apartment was perfect for my husband and I. It’s exactly as the pictures portray and only a 10 min walk into the centre.

The pool isn’t great, the pictures are deceiving. It looks like it’s a really big pool but it’s actually quite small and strangely laid out so it was hard to do laps if you wanted a proper swim. Also the washing machines are in the basement and coin operated.

Property was well decorated and added an extra element of luxury. The pool was lovely to use, everything was so well thought of. We had such an amazing time. :)

An absolutely stunning apartment, very cozy and homely. I loved the generous sized balcony in the evening it was lit up beautifully over looking the pool. Charlotte was an absolute pleasure to deal with. She made everything very easy. It wasn't an overly busy complex, so it was very relaxing. The pool was a dream and nicely heated. Very good location. Walking distance to Four Mile Beach, Port Douglas cafes and shops, and the Crystal Bay Marina. I was very sad to leave, I couldn't recommend this place anymore and hope to visit again. 🌸🌿

This is only a slight moan, but it would be nice if the coffee machine was a pod machine as it is so much easier to use.. My own preference, I realise everyone is different..
