Heraklion Museum View Apartment

Great location for catching the ferry boat. About a a 10 minute easy walk. Spacious apartment with full facilities. Great value .

Difficult to find on Google maps and directions could be a little more clear.

Que no pudieron tener un lugar para guardar las maletas mientras llegaba la hora del check in

Nicely located apartment near the Archeological Museum, as name suggests, and within easy reach of local restaurants, bars, etc. The customer service team were very kind and attentive. Apartment has front and rear terraces and a washing machine is provided, which is handy.

Electrics were our main problem. The fuseboard is easily tripped (in tis case a faulty plug socket) and is NOT easy to find unless someone gives you a clue. After being without power for several hours, they finally sent their electrician who merely had to trip the switch in the fuse box, cunningly concealed behind a picture! I would also say self-catering is going to be a bit of a struggle - there's only one power outlet for the kitchen.

It was clean with full amenities. Close to centre town.

Strong smell of must and cigarette. Although checkout was at 11am, we left around 9:30 to go pick up our car rental and when we came back at 10:30 someone had entered the apartment and left a big garbage bag over our luggage (prior to checkout time). We had wifi only for a little bit and the network was gone for the rest of the night. Admittedly we did not raise the issue with the landlord as we were only there for one night. No personal message to check on us to see if everything was ok with our stay, which a bit unusual for Greece.
