Hotel Cabañas Puesta del Sol

The rooms were really comfortable and spotlessly clean . Pool was great and well equipt with nice chairs and cushions ! The staff worked super hard to keep the place so clean . Really good breakfast with good choices .

The water pressure was very poor so the shower was a cold dribble however everything else was great !

Great place to stay, definitely the best attention and staff, will come back

This was my husband's and my second visit to Las Peñitas (we actually camped the first time in 2018). We love this mellow beautiful little beach town, and it's so close to Leon. We really enjoyed our stay at Puesta del Sol. It's a beautifully-designed space with cool Nica art and the cabañas nestled amongst lots of tropical plants. We enjoyed time in the pool and relaxing in the lounge chairs poolside. We loved the Italian restaurant. Hands down the best pizza we've ever had!! Bravo!! Dozens of different kinds of unique pizzas, as well as other dishes and salads. My husband is Nica and a lover of beans, so obviously we had to try the Nica pizza. Bean paste, beans, Nica cheese, with sausage (i think this is what it was).. spectacular! Honestly, I wanted to try all of the pizzas. We will definitely return for more! The cabañas are pretty nice, small, with water bottles, coffee/tea, towels, safety box, a nice balcony with little table and chairs, including a hammock chair. Loved the welcome drink of fresh natural fruit juice! The staff are all very friendly and helpful. I love that locally-operated tourist activities are available here, and the staff will assist organizing tours for you. We went kayaking with a local guide and I highly recommend this! A few hours paddling in the mangroves. We saw lots of different birds and iguanas. Another thing that I highly recommend is booking a massage at Casa Ananda, owner by super lovely people. This is hosted at a hotel nearby. We walked there (about 10 minutes) and both got relaxing massages. They also offer yoga, meditation, reiki, other body work, and Ayurvedic remedies. I will definitely return to that place as well. We both look forward to returning to Las Peñitas for more relaxation and pizza!

I read many reviews of this place before our stay, and i agree with the consistent theme of the air conditioning in the cabañas not being so great. It really took a very long time for the cabaña to feel even remotely cool. We live in Panama, so are used to hot and humid, and travel a lot in the tropics, and I've never encountered such weak A/C. But besides this detail, everything else was wonderful.

Very good hotel with really nice rooms. Fantastic pool. Perfect for the beach (2mins away). Restaurant is extremely good for dinner and serves a really nice breakfast too. Welcome juice on arrival was great touch. Staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. Price was very good.

Quite a soft bed, it didn’t affect our sleep but some may find it too soft.
