A perfectly good stopping place overnight on a journey through France.
A reasonably priced room for one night. Quaint entrance and wooden spiral staircase, not for the faint-hearted, but charming. Pleasant bar for a drink in the evening with a delightful bartender and interesting locals. Very good breakfast.
A little disappointed that the on-site restaurant was not open, although we found another nearby which was excellent.

Great location near the center of Saint-Flour, comfortable room. Close to local restaurants.
Very large clean and comfortable room, bed was very comfortable. Large en-suite bathroom. Hotel is in a good location a short walk from the center of Saint-Flour. Ideal location for local bars and restaurants. Very close to the river that runs through the town. Enjoyed our one night stay and would stay here again. Proprietor very friendly he recommended a very good restaurant a short walk from the hotel.
The only negative was that the Wi-Fi signal was a bit poor at times.

Poor
Pierre, the host, was very welcoming and spoke excellent English. The evening meal was very good and great value for the money. Breakfast was not so good though. I wanted to change the pillows because they smelled terribly and that was done immediately without any problems. Another good point was that we weren't charged for the dog.
The room!! It was awful. It smelt disgusting. Once we'd changed the pillows and opened the window and left it for a couple of hours it wasn't quite as bad. We considered moving hotels but as it was only there for one night and late, we stayed. There were cobwebs hanging from the wall light over the bed and in the corners. It could have done with a small table, the only table was a tiny one beside the bed or you could use the window sill. Our room overlooked the main road, so we were woken early by the noise from the traffic. I have to say that, as we were leaving our room we saw a couple of the other rooms and they looked a better than the one we were in.

hotel room was clean, tidy and comfortable. we were in room 2 - a very good size. staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. we also ate in the hotel's restaurant on the evening of our stay and the food was excellent. the chef apologised for the time it took for our meal - he didn't have to - as he wanted to make sure the meal was perfect - and it was!! breakfast was excellent in terms of both what was offered and price.
