The bamboo tunnel entrance sets the scene for a very beautiful resort!

Truly beautiful surroundings! The tunnel of bamboo trees upon arrival set the stage for a wonderful combination of traditional and modern facilities. Stunning view from the top of a cliff, and a lovely outdoor pool area. My villa was spacious with a huge bathroom and tub, large bedroom and a sweet little pool. I loved hanging out in my private space. The bed was king-size and very comfortable. The spa treatment given by Lottie was exceptional - my skin has never been so soft!

The western food was disappointing. The eggs benedict were very sloppy and came without the advertised smoked salmon. Noticing an espresso machine, I asked for a latte with breakfast (and said I was willing to pay extra). It came with coffee art but tasted like a cappuccino packet mix. That said, the Indonesian food was great, as were the cocktails. A bar fridge was advertised but did not contain any snacks or drinks for purchase.

Overall, we loved our stay!

Very kind and attentive staff. Great breakfast with the option to choose from the menu. We felt as if we were the only guests in the villa.

The only slight downside was the city noise at night, especially scooters.

Beautiful secluded villa

We stayed in a fabulous 2 storey villa, with a small private pool and outdoor kitchen. The villa was surrounded by a high wall giving it complete privacy. The rooms were large and well appointed, the bed was very comfortable. The restaurant/bar area by the pool is very nice and has a great view. The food was excellent and the service first class.

A memorable Balinese experience!

The long bamboo lined drive up to the hotel hinted to what was to come : a magnificent property which made us feel like royalty! We had a large room with an unbelievably gorgeous bathroom and our own private pool surrounded by lush greenery and Balinese carvings. We did not see other guests even at breakfast, which made it feel very exclusive As the hotel is situated on a hill,our last day was made special by a spectacular sunset over the sea

The rooms and bathrooms were old and could have been cleaner. Came away with insect bites. The food was disappointing, especially the bakery bread and coffee. Cannot recommend any of the selections.

Beautiful and peaceful haven.

Fabulous accommodation, we stayed in a a large 2-storey villa with outdoor kitchen and dining area, and private pool. The villa was fully enclosed providing privacy. From the terrace area on the upper floor we had a view back across the bay towards Denpasar. The bed was large and comfortable. The main bar and restaurant area around the pool offers great views. The menu offers a good selection of local and western dishes for breakfast and dinner. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. While close to town it feels secluded as it’s set back from the road up a private track. It’s only 30 mins from New Kuta golf course.

What a special place ✨ My friend and I had a wonderful stay at the Giri Bhagawan. We were impressed by the beauty of the villa, the quality of the service, and the complementary massage. Cocktails and food were beautiful! Definitely brought us the peace and quality time we needed ☀️

The Giri Bhagawan villas and spa is very beautiful place to stay and has a uniqueness about it that is both restful and spiritual. The staff are exceptional and very attentive, professional and friendly and they will go that extra mile to assist and ensure everything is perfect for their guests. The villas are very clean and comfortable, the breakfasts are outstanding. Enjoyed the massages as well. The private pool is lovely to have and apart from a few minor maintenance tweaks we throughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Giri Bhagawan.

Gorgeous room, great staff who really want to please and are incredibly friendly.

We initially had a room we didn’t love, but we moved rooms to a truly fantastic room that we never wanted to leave with a beautiful private pool. The staff is terrific. Very accommodating. They gave us a free massage for the room issue. The area is a little weird - not really walkable - but it’s easy and cheap to get a grab, and when you are in the resort, you feel like you are in an oasis and the world outside doesn’t exist!

We loved the staff and managers. Also the huge villas and spaciousness. This was a a great place for longer stays

The price of food is more than most which means s tricky because there are no places to eat in walking distance. You can order Grab though and taxis come and go easily. Small thing but just to let people know

All you need in one place

Amazing location for a peaceful stay. We were looking for privacy and the superior villa was perfect for it. Amazing private pool and outdoor tab setting. All the space has top notch decoration and such a vibe, very well maintained. Definitely a place to save and go back to. Staff is so attentive.

Great stay. Very comfortable

Staff are amazing and attentive, they also mix a fabulous margarita. Breakfast options are good and can be served at the villa. Villa is spacious with well equipped kitchenette. Beds are very comfortable and the pool is a good size. We really enjoyed our stay.

The driveway is long and steep. It would be good to have transport just up and down the driveway. It is not really walkable to anywhere.

Good value and nice staff, but not luxury.

The room was nice. The bath was enormous. The service was fast and friendly.

The toilet was in straight view of the bed. The pool had a strong smell of chlorine, and the outdoor furnishings were tired. There was a shop close by and some local stalls but mostly had to get a car to see anything.

Good experience

We stayed at Giri Bhagawan for 4 nights and absolutely loved our experience. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We were traveling with our 7-month-old baby and needed a large bowl to wash his milk bottles. The team went out of their way to find one for us — we were so grateful! Breakfast was brilliant with plenty of choices. Although breakfast normally starts at 8:00am, we had two early morning trips (snorkelling and the airport) and they kindly prepared takeaway breakfast boxes for us at 5:30am. Each villa has its own private swimming pool, giving us full privacy and allowing our family to truly relax and enjoy the holiday. We did encounter an issue with our air conditioner, but Manager Mega was extremely helpful — very approachable and responsive. She even shared her personal contact number so we could reach her anytime. Mega also arranged a complimentary massage and airport drop-off for us, which we really appreciated. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Giri Bhagawan and will definitely come back again!

There are a lot of mosquitoes in Bali — not the villa’s fault. The bedroom has air conditioning, so it’s much better there. However, the outdoor dining and kitchen areas don’t have air conditioning, and with so many plants around, we ended up with more than 20 mosquito bites when we returned.

Very much did the job of being relaxing and stress free

It was close to the airport which after a long flight from the UK was good. I used it to relax and try and get onto the right time zone. The area seemed a little out if things. Not much was very accessible. Staff were delightful and helpful and the food was good. Breakfast was a little basic. The coffee was excellent and the massage was great and good value.

My room, particularly the bathroom didn’t feel very clean, it was ok but just felt a little dated.

Relaxing first-stop in Bali

The 1bed villa with private pool was lovely! Surrounded by greenery and the comfiest bed. Felt very novel having room service for breakfast and dinner. The service was very friendly too, e.g. coordination of airport transfer, in-house massage, vegan options, and room service. Felt like spoilt Queens! Context > spent two nights but one full day here before checking out to travel. Pictured: view from inside the villa, I was standing on the front-porch where you can sit to eat, drink or read.

I feel like a bread snob saying this, but I didn't love the bread at breakfast. Still very grateful for room service breakfast by the pool though! Not much to dislike. Enjoyed our short 2-night stay.

A HIDDEN GEM IN A QUIET LOCATION 🌿 I was very impressed with this villa — it’s truly a hidden gem.

The villa itself is spacious and full of character — it has that classic old Ubud-style charm, with generous room sizes, a lovely pool, and breathtaking views. The sunset was just stunning. The atmosphere is extremely peaceful, with no noise at all. I didn’t expect to find such a beautiful and well-maintained place in this area. The service was exceptional, and everything was spotless and thoughtfully prepared.

The only downside for me was the location — it’s not within walking distance to the beach, so you’ll need to order a taxi or rent a scooter. Nusa Dua beach is just a short ride away, and I enjoyed my time there.

To be honest I didn’t know what to expect , but when you arrive and they show you around the 3 bedroom villa I went oh wow !!! Very big , lovely and clean . The overall property is gorgeous. The photos don’t do it justice. The staff as always in Bali are kind , welcoming and make the stay even better . I would definitely return and stay here

Paradise under the Balinese sun

Simply lovely! Even better than the pictures. What a fantastic resort and even better staff. Relax environment, great villas with own swimming pool. The restaurant has tasteful dishes and has the option to serve your meal at your own villa. That's very convenient after a day trip to Ubud or Nusa Penida.And the day starts of course with breakfast next to your own swimming pool. The spa options were also nice. Amazing service and beautiful venue!

Service was amazing and the staff really went above and beyond. The in-room breakfast service was so lovely. And the pool was large and super clean.

The only issue is the shower and toilet is outside which can get a bit uncomfortable during the night or when it rained because of the bugs and other creatures.
