Aparthaus-Kiebitz

The host who welcomed us (Michel) was very friendly and helpful letting us know where the local store, bakery and restaurants were, which were all only a few minutes walk away. The apartment was fully equipped, with a complete kitchen, including a toaster, microwave, coffee machine, kettle and oven. We were upgraded to a larger room for no extra charge thanks to some other guests needing the smaller rooms. The upgraded room was essentially the size of a proper apartment and had a double bed and a bunk bed for two kids. In the lobby there was a small fridge with reasonably priced drinks inside and menus for local restaurants so you could decide where to go without hassle. The hotel was located next to a river and had a lovely deck with seating for guests to enjoy the view on. The deck also acted as the smoking area.

The only issues we had were that in the bedroom we could hear other guests stomping around above us and in the bathroom and kitchen we could hear guests in the other apartment on our floor talking to each other.

Great location, just a short drive (less than 10 minutes) from Katschberg ski resort (though free ski bus is also available and stops just steps from the apartment house, several times a day). Parking right next to the building. There is a small shop and a bakery, as well as a restaurant just a few minutes walk away. Staff is nice, welcoming. The rooms are nice, clean and include everything you might need even for a bit longer stay (fridge, oven, stovetop,...). There is also a ski storage place and ski boots drying room next to the entry. Great place to stay outside the ski resort.
