Maison Prakash

Very well equipped villa and garden Comfortable bedrooms and lots of space .

We absolutely loved our stay at Maison Prakash! We had 4 adults and 2 kids and had more than enough space. We all enjoyed the pool, hot tub, ping pong table, etc. But what really stood out was the exceptional service and communication with the owner. We’d come back in a heartbeat!

The villa itself is very impressive, from the driveway approach to the actual building externally. The pool is large, but unheated and unfortunately the water was cloudy throughout or stay due to water/filtration problems - and we may have had the last of the decent warm weather (late September), so future guests will need to be brave to swim until the Sun warms it up. There was plenty of lounging space and a boules play area was an added bonus. Lovely valley views (no sea views), and it was only 10 minutes drive to all restaurants etc. The owner was very quick to respond and did her best to assist on several things we needed help with during our 10 day stay. The vast majority of requests we needed - with better Owner planning could have been avoided.

Having just one set of house keys was just annoying considering the villa can sleep 8-10+ guests. The housekeeper/pool service/gardener all seemed to have their own but despite requesting, we were told it was not possible for security, so coordinating everyones entry/exit was just irritating. Equally, we had hideous arrival flight delays and had to rely on someone coming out to meet us at 10pm, not ideal when a lock-box would sort all these problems. There are no "How To" instructions in the house, and with an alarm system, second Steam oven, pool cleaner etc this would certainly help particularly non-French speaking visitors. Despite asking prior to arrival, absolutely nothing except the bare minimum was provided (half loo rolls), so you need to provide for your immediate arrival if like us, you arrive when absolutely everything was shut. Of more note for future travellers tho is that internally, the house is VERY sparsely and inexpensively furnished. Three new shower rooms were lovely but they do not compensate for the lack of so much else. No paintings on walls (maybe one) and a lot of tiled empty floors. This villa is absolutely fine for warm outdoor summer living and for a maximum of 6 guests. No balcony furniture, sitting room sectional sofa only seats 5 (everything else is dining chair), one double bedroom had no curtains and no ensuite door installed, and a second bedroom had only a sofa bed with no toilet in the ensuite. So only three bedrooms were of use. There's a reason the kitchen isn't featured in the photographs.. very small space. Parking for more than two cars in the driveway was a daunting task maneuvering them, and the villa approach road is extremely narrow with minimal passing places . This Villa has loads of potential but in its current form, would not recommend if you plan to spend any time indoors.

The house is very clean and spacious and has a stunning outlook with a well furnished pool deck that has the sun all through the day and a lovely area to eat lunch looking out across the hills. There is an ice maker in one of the two fridges which is very useful and the beds are comfortable particularly those upstairs where there is air conditioning. There is a private driveway with private parking and the gardens and pool are regularly maintained. There are many good restaurants in nearby Mougins and the owner was very responsive to all our questions and requests.

Very close to Cannes and the beaches by car. Beautiful view from the villa. Quiet place. Large and nice pool and pretty garden.

Housekeeper did not speak foreign languages. The comfortable quest number of the villa is 10, but it was advertised for 12.The bed linens was barely enough. When we asked additional sheets, the owner advised shopping possibilities. Some necessary accessories missed from the kitchen set.The microwave oven didn't work, and was changed only for third day. Only 3 upper room was air-conditioned, the others are very hot.In one bedroom the only furniture was a convertible bed, with a crap shower cabin. There was no enough garbage storing capacity for 11 people.
