Shoreside Lodge

superb location, cannot be faulted. loved the outside area and the 'rocking' chairs on the deck. If you are going to the lakes this is the location you would want, right on the waters edge and with a great view over the lake. see attached photos for views from the front deck

bedroom and second bathroom were cramped, windows opened on to a hedge and together with the trees blocked the light into the back rooms. The description on Booking .com wasn't clear, It stated there were two bathrooms but in the description it only mentioned a 'private bathroom' (I would hope they are all private!) the photos didn't clearly show there were two and when I emailed to ask the question I received no reply. The cooker hood in the kitchen is a problem if you are over 6 feet tall, take a hard hat! The lodge was generally clean if you didn't look too closely. It would have been a nice touch to have had a 'welcome pack' on arrival, a few basics to see you through and feel a little more welcome. None of these are negative comments, just observations that would have enhanced the experience.

The lodge was easy to find and the layout was great. The heating was excellent with a well equipped kitchen Comfortably housed 4 adults with good space. Bathrooms are small but well equipped.

The bathrooms are small but work well. The dustbin was a but awkward in the cupboard.

Location was perfect
