The location was good with a good range of local shops and amenities and the metro was a reasonable walking distance away.
The host was polite and friendly and responded quickly to enquiries. We felt welcomed as soon as we booked and we felt welcomed throughout our stay. The host provided us with recommendations and advise as per our enquiries.
The apartment was a decent size and the kitchen was well equipped with cutlery and crockery and some complimentary items like tea, coffee and water. Washing machine was a bonus and very useful when you pack clothes sparingly.
The flat had cockroaches that were seen daily at nighttime in the bathroom, even after treatment was applied by the cleaning lady after reporting and us spraying daily, we still saw them. There were also ants in the kitchen counter area which had a wall that the sofa bed was backed up against and a few times we found ants crawling on us whilst we sat on the sofa.
The sofa bed upholstery was stained and was broken with the cushioning sunk. This was reported and we couldn’t use the sofa bed. The host asked for pictures and said they will get the maintenance to look to fix or replace but that didn’t help us as we had to cram a person to share a single bed instead. I am disappointed to read previous review that also highlighted this which means the host was aware of the fault and did not fix it but continued to rent out the property. I feel cheated in this regard because the property was then only suitable to sleep 5 and not 6 which is what we paid for.
The flat has 2 air conditioning units but neither are very powerful or effective and there was only one additional fan. In 34 degree heat at night, the air conditioning did not reach the bedrooms , even with doors left open (note the issue on privacy due yo this) and made sleeping very uncomfortable. We requested additional fans but this was not provided. The air conditioning unit should have been re-gassed and additional fans provided for each room so the doors can be closed for privacy. Despite the open bedroom doors the air conditioning unit does not reach the rooms.
