The location is fantastic, right on the edge of Bari Vecchia, about a 15 minute walk from the train station. There was online checkin before arrival and then I received the instructions to enter the building and apartment, super easy.
-Hosts were available via WhatsApp for questions.
-Espresso machine with capsules plus basics in the tiny kitchen (sugar, salt etc.) which was much appreciated.
-Microwave! A rarity in Italy.
-Elevator in the building. I stayed in Apt #2 on the first floor so while you can take the elevator up one floor (I did when I checked in with my luggage), you'll still have some stairs to get to this apartment so if you're mobility limited, factor that in. I don't think it's the same configuration on other floors.
-There are screens on the main double windows in the living room, fantastic and rare!
-The listing notes a washer which does exist but is not located in the apartment but on the ground floor in a closet. I couldn't figure out the lights so I didn't use it. I could have asked so that's on me but it was a bit less convenient.
-The mattress is a deal breaker for me and while bed preference is fairly individual, this mattress needs to be replaced, it's simply old and taco like and not much support or padding left.
-The shower lacks pressure but there's not much that can be done (although maybe a new shower head could help?). Drainage is not good but at least there's a high edge so water doesn't spill out onto the floor.

Great location. It’s located at the edges of old town. A few minutes walk to the seaside. A few minutes to the big shopping blvd. As for the facilities the stuff are there but lack of maintenance and upgrades.
Lack of human touch on check in/out process. You don’t feel being welcomed.

The location and the elevator were the highlights. The main bed was comfortable (didn't use the single bed), and there is a washing machine with 2 large drying racks.
The place was dusty and drab. The furniture is outdated and not welcoming. There is no balcony (only a 6 inch ledge with shutters covering half of the opening).
