Disappointing check-in and cleanliness, but good location First of all, I do want to mention that Joselyn was very responsive and was in immediate contact with us after I made the booking, which I appreciated. However, unfortunately, there were quite a few issues with our stay. I selected a check-in time of 3–4pm, as that was when we expected to arrive at the accommodation. Unfortunately, our flight was delayed and baggage claim took much longer than expected, meaning we would only be around an hour late and expected to arrive at approximately 4:50pm. Joselyn told us that she would not be able to let us in because she had another appointment at 5pm. After quite a bit of back and forth about whether there was a safe place to leave the keys or whether someone else could assist us, we came up with a plan to collect the keys from her next booking. We arrived there at around 5pm, but Joselyn wasn’t there. Her husband eventually arrived at around 5:50pm, so we were left waiting for quite some time after travelling. Unfortunately, when we finally entered the apartment, it had not been properly cleaned or prepared. Considering our original check-in time was 3–4pm, I would have expected the apartment to be ready, with the beds made and fresh sheets laid out. Before arriving, I had specifically asked whether there was an iron in the apartment and was told there was. However, after searching the apartment, we couldn’t find one and had to contact Joselyn again. We eventually received the iron the following day. Another major issue was the bathroom door lock. The lock was extremely stiff, and once the door was closed, it was very difficult to open from the inside. You essentially had to push against the door with quite a lot of force to get it open, which was very inconvenient and should definitely be fixed for future guests. Lastly, when I asked about the check-out procedure, I was told to leave the keys inside the apartment and leave the property unlocked.
