Great hotel, I would return

Very nice and friendly family hotel. This hotel makes a great base for the Shipka Monument, Buzludzha, the Tracian Valley and other monuments around the village. The breakfast was very tasty and well served, it's really worth the 8 Eur paid in October 2025 I would definitely return here if I ever have the opportunity to return to this part of Bulgaria.

Ideal place to visit Valley of the Thracian Kings

From the moment we entered, we were treated like welcome guests. They were responsive to our every need, the room was cute, and the beds were comfortable. We got a valley view. We got breakfast for each morning, and it couldn't had been better. More than we could eat! And we enjoyed conversion with the owner. The location was ideal. We walked to the archeological center and walked to the cathedral, and we could see 3 tombs from our room.

There was nothing we could say to improve. It was great.

Wonderful place for a stay in a beautiful area of Bulgaria. Perfect for a weekend getaway!

The breakfast was exceptional and all homemade. The host was very friendly and welcoming. She offered an excellent suggestion regarding a place for dinner and had other suggestions for things to do and see in the area. A big bonus in regards to our room was the placement of two outlet receptacles on both sides of the bed. I don't think I have ever seen that in a guest house in Bulgaria.

We didn't use the television, but I attempted to turn it on at one point and couldn't seem to get it to work. If someone wanted to watch something in the evening, they may not have been able to. Also, since there is a pool, an extra towel or two so that you could have one for the pool and one for showering would have been nice.

Wonderful stay

A lovely clean family owned hotel in the small town of Shipka. The room was quiet and comfortable. There was a mini fridge and a kettle. The pool looked nice but we didn’t use it due to the weather. The owners were very friendly and kind. The bathroom had an enclosed shower. A good breakfast is available. It’s a short drive to the Thracian tombs, the church and a restaurant.

A bath mat would have been nice. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

Cozy Hotel near the Mounds

Marvelous view over the valley of the tracian kings and the mounds, friendly owner that made me a hot bulgarian breakfast, the room was a bit older but very comfy! The neighbourhood was a bit shabby, bit the hotel was more than pleasant, tiptop!

Relaxing and re+energizing at a perfect place below a wonderful church and monument and close to the rose fields of BG

The rest, the double bed, the perfectness of the owners and the hotel (this is an Art place, not a normal hotel in every, every detail!!), the breakfast was unbelievable!!! (i am a sportsman and eat a lot)

Superb

In the short period we stayed, we managed to see all the sights in close range to the town. The responsive staff advised us on how to get around everything so that we don't waste our time. In terms of food, they shared a magnificent restaurant close to the hotel. Luckily for us, the place to eat turned out to be no more than 15 minutes from the hotel itself. The short walk between the hotel and the restaurant gives an opportunity to see a small part of the city, revealing part of its unique charm.

On the negative side of things, it would be hard to describe any. I would be lying to myself if I said we experienced any kind of inconvenience. Strongly recommend visiting this district and getting familiar with its breathtaking history.

The layout of the rooms and the garden made for an interesting and comfortable stay. The owners are friendly and the breakfasts were amazing.

There is very little direct parking at the property, but that is because of the town. Otherwise there are no issues.
