Remaotel Seafield Court Apartments

An excellent location for a seaside holiday, a few minutes walk to both the beach and the multitude of restaurants on the seafront. Free private parking is a real plus. The studio was very clean, easy to access (Damon sent me the entrance code in advance, the same for the building and the room, which saved us from the worry/possibility of losing a key). Damon also messaged me that we could check in earlier than the established check-in time and, upon departure, we had the opportunity to leave our car parked in the parking lot for some time after we checked out, free of charge. We had all the amenities on offer: towels, bed linen, dishes, fridge, all very clean; wi-fi, TV, hair dryer, iron.

However, there were a few minuses, manageable otherwise: The tower fan is, however, a bit useless in a very hot room (we caught the very hot period at the end of June), an air conditioner (at least mobile, if not one on the wall) would have been much more efficient. The fan doesn't cool, it just ventilates the air, and if the air is hot... Especially since you can't open the windows completely either during the day because of the seagulls, nor at night on the ground floor, for understandable reasons. Someone complained in a review about the smell of curry in the building. We felt it too, not in the room, but only in the hallway, and that's why it didn't bother us too much, especially since we stayed outside most of the time. We didn't cook, but we noticed that the hood had a vent in the room. It's possible that whoever cooked ventilated their room by opening the room's door. And finally, the garden around the building doesn't look like the photos anymore. But if you like a little wildlife around you, then that's no problem. Especially when you find that you have company... a deer

Hotel was newly refurbished and beautifully decorated inside, particularly the shared hall and stairs. It had a marble tiled hall, sweeping staircase and beautiful central light feature. Room was a good size and well appointed with new kitchen appliances. Our private bathroom was fully tiled and brand new. Everything was clean, new and aesthetically pleasing. Parking at the property was easy as there were a number of parking spaces. The hotel was in a nice part of the town and just a short walk from the sea front.

Room was rather airless and hot - despite the windows and small freestanding fan. This was exacerbated by the position of the bed in the room and made it very hard to sleep.
