Residenz am Kaiserweg

We chose this apartment as a base for exploring the surrounding area and visiting the Dolomites. We stayed for only two nights, but overall had a pleasant experience. The view from the apartment was beautiful, especially the surrounding mountains. We also liked the layout of the apartment, which was practical and comfortable for a short stay. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our own meals. A dishwasher would have been a nice addition, but it was not a major issue. The beds were comfortable, and overall the apartment provided everything necessary for a pleasant stay. For travelers planning to explore the Dolomites and nearby attractions, the location works well as a convenient base.

There were a few inconveniences that we were not aware of when making the reservation. The first was the key collection process. We had to pick up the keys several kilometers away from the apartment and return them to the same location at check-out. Since this was not on our route, it added unnecessary travel time and was inconvenient. The building itself looked somewhat neglected from the outside, and the ground floor was under construction during our stay, with what appeared to be a future café being built. The elevator was not working, so we had to carry heavy luggage up to the third floor. The apartment is also located next to a road. Traffic was not extremely heavy, but it was not particularly quiet during the day. The biggest drawback for us was the farm located directly opposite the building. There was a very strong manure smell, especially when sitting on the balcony. We had imagined enjoying coffee while looking at the mountains, but the odor often made that difficult. Despite these issues, we were still able to enjoy the mountain views and the rural atmosphere. For a short stay of one or two nights, the apartment was acceptable and served its purpose well.

This was my third stay in last 4 years! Great Mountain View! The land lady was very kind and supportive!
