Lovely building and location - shame about everything else.

Nice location, lovely building with a lot of character. Bedding was clean.

Damp smell, random half-broken furniture lying around, sofa heavily stained, no condiments like tea/sugar/coffee available and had to mess around with heating to get it working (thermostat had dead batteries which I had to transplant from the sky remote). For the money I paid I expected a lot better. Reminded me of student digs.

It was nice been near the centre and it was a lovely place plenty of shops and a places to eat

The beams in the bedrooms and there wasn’t a can opener. They could also do with putting hand towels in the bathroom

The apartment was well situated and inexpensive but very basic.

The location was excellent and the basic facilities all worked ok. The shower was good, beds comfortable and the kitchen was clean.

The apartment looked sparse and basic. The bedrooms and bathroom were restricted by large roof beams and both my friend and I are tall so we had to be careful. There were no "extras" at all so we had to buy washing up liquid, find a dishcloth and get basic foodstuffs like sugar, salt etc. plus soap for the washbasin. There was half a toilet roll provided and we supplied more. There were no egg cups, or a coffee cafetiere and the crockery range was limited. Small additions like this would have made a real difference and changed our perceptions considerably. The ceiling window blind in one bedroom was broken and the TV remote control in one bedroom had dead batteries but everything else worked. We had limited time on our stay so didn't ask for these things to be corrected.

Better choices

Location was ideal to the pubs and restaurants in town with a 5 minute walk along the River.

Construction site at rear of building when parking the car. Wooden beams throughout the upstairs rooms that you had to duck to pass. Would liked to of used the washing machine but was full of washing.

really disappointed with the state of the property and at £120 a night felt it was very poor value for money. overall it

unfortunately property wasn’t clean when we arrived with cobwebs and dust everywhere and there were lots of issues that didn’t allow us to enjoy a pleasant stay. There was no toilet roll in the property when we arrived and the toilet sink was blocked. One of the wardrobes was broken with a screw sticking out of it. the two sofas in the living room had collapsed so we’re very uncomfortable and the coffee table had a glass top which wasn’t attached. we were staying with our 3 young children so this was worrying as one of them could have easily had an accident. I should also add that the car park was like a bomb site with building materials and sharp objects laying around everywhere.

I gave up and stayed at a Travelodge can't answer this. When I turned up I called to find out about parking, it was about 5 30pm about an hour or so later than I'd put on the booking,, it's clear this was still earlier than they would have liked.

Parking, is an issue, on the call they said I could park between the wooden gates as there was no street parking available but I'd have to move my car at 8am to let the builders in, this fell way below my minimum tolerability and I went to travelodge instead.
