The location is awful ,in a place in where drug addicts and homeless people were outside the premices. I felt unsafe so I left the room imediately and look for another hotel. I could not stay the night in there. I believe this hotel is overrated. the building was also not good or safe for a city that has earthquakes often.

Could have been better

It was a shame because of the horrible smell in the bathroom, the room had not been cleaned, I found hair in the room, it was very cold, and the hotel very loudy, we could hear everything from the room

I get to sleep pacefuly and the desk persons were kind most of it. The water in the shower was nice.

The bed was stone hard, and there was no food except for a vending machine. The bath courtain was dirty. There wasn't a bath mat. It was difficult to charge something because the connector was behind a bed table

Outstanding customer service

Everything matched the pictures. Plenty of hot water. The breakfast was good with several options. Lots of parks and recreation within easy walking distance. Most of all, the staff were very friendly and willing to help with any questions I had about the area.

The wifi signal was weak on the 3rd floor where I stayed. It was great everywhere else on the property.

Check-in was very pleasant due to Angelica, who speaks English very well. Although the neighborhood looks a little scary, don’t let that put you off: this is a well-run little gem of a hotel with clean rooms and a relaxed atmosphere for the budget traveller.

Wi-fi signal was very weak, both in our room and in the lobby/restaurant area, so they need some improvement here. If the neighborhood could cooperate in keeping the trash cleared away from the derelict building on the corner, it would go a long way towards making the place seem much more desirable.

Great stay at top hotel

Lovely hotel, clean rooms and tasteful decor. Great breakfast with a few options. We had a large bed and private bathroom with a hot shower with good pressure. Option to have the room cleaned daily if needed. Someone on reception all the time and a security gate. Great location for getting into the centre. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. everybody tries their best. Hotel is modern and clean.

On three nights out of five, there were incidents around 1am/3am that did not allow us to sleep (people laughing, talking and running around the corridors, night manager couldn't or didn't bother to control them). though we did bring it to their attention the first time, it did happen again. The hotel is very cold, due that it is covered with a type of tent roof over the building, the sun never shines inside (you have to go outside the hotel to find out how the weather is). It will be nice to have a coffee maker in the rooms. The hotel is located walking distance from the historic centre; however, it is surrounded by kind of dilapidating buildings. WiFi in the rooms is very bad.

Extended our stay by two nights!

It was a nice, relatively modern and clean property that was really good value for money. We extended our stay by an extra two nights. The weekend markets in the area were great, so I highly recommend staying during the weekend.

We have been travelling through Nicaragua, El Salvador, Guatemala and much of Mexico. This was the first property that did not offer free water to guests (apart from two tiny bottles upon arrival). This caused quite a few issues for us as it’s surprisingly difficult to find water in Puebla (we had to keep on going to the pharmacy near the main plaza). Our first night was also the night the Queen died, so we came back a wee bit drunk from a few too many whisky “toasts”. We were in a predicament because all the shops were closed, we couldn’t find any water and the tap-water was a no-no. Maybe the hotel should re-evaluate their water policy to be more in-line with the rest of the hotels in the region. The property opposite the building is completely derelict and hosts quite a few people who hang about on the street all day and all night. This made us really uncomfortable when we left the hotel. It was strange because the area in general is nice, but that particular building attracted a lot of cookie characters.
