Le Clou de Louis

What can I say.. an amazing B&B with fantastic hosts. The rooms are lovely and the breakfasts were wonderful. Would definitely recommend- we hope to come back one day!

The hosts were fantastic, a beautiful property and really nicely located.

An elegant period house in a quiet area of Bordeaux with easy access to the centre either on foot or by tram. The Hosts were very friendly and welcoming and gave us excellent advice about places of interest to visit.

Le Clou de Louis is not a hotel, it's very a smart townhouse, very personal with only 3 guest rooms. The rooms are big and the bathrooms luxurious. We had a few great nights' sleep with wonderful bed linen, air-con and push button shutters. The hosts thrive on making sure everything is perfect for you and that you are taken care of. They bake each morning so breakfast always has a little surprise and feels special. I felt bad because our arrival was delayed by several hours due to train delays but the hosts were very kind and waited up for us and didn't make us feel like we were inconveniencing them at all.

The townhouse is a little outside the main area of the city. It's only a couple of trams stops or a half-hour walk but bear that in mind if it's very hot or rainy as depending on your circumstances it may be more convenient to be in the heart of town. But then you wouldn't have the pool!
