Lanzarote Villa Irina Marina Rubicón

Fabulous spacious villa. Perfect for six friends. Had everything we needed. Plenty of space inside and outside for relaxing or having some time to ourselves. The pool was a good size and the awning over the table was great for when we needed some shade. We got fresh towels half way through the week. There was a washing machine as well so we did wash a few towels and clothes. The villa could do with a little refresh but we knew that before coming and it made no odds to us. The pool was deeper than expected at 1.55m to 1.7m, wouldn’t be ideal for young children. The location was excellent, less than 10 mins from the marina. The villa and surrounding villas are only one story so we were not overlooked and had great privacy. Communication was very good and any issues were resolved really quickly.

The pool turned green as I believe the pump stopped working. Florian was quick to respond though and they sorted it the following morning. However, because of the chemicals needed, we couldn’t use it for one day. It was disappointing but these things happen and we were out sightseeing for most of the day anyway. The air conditioning was a bit weak in the small bedroom by the pool. Be aware there is a lot of construction in the area so there is some noise that starts about 8am. However, this is obviously no fault of the villa itself. It didn’t really bother us much.

Location and size of villa with great pool area and sun room. It could be wonderful with a little attention and decorating and rectifying what i didn’t like.

Very dated and run down, very dusty , not aired with damp smells and mould in bathroom. Showers in both bathrooms leaked water onto floor and occasionally into hallway!Virtually no mirrors in the place just in the bathrooms. Blinds in bedrooms could not be pulled up and super dirty. Kitchen appliances run off an extension lead from a single plug in wall. Not ideal. Ironing board had no useable cover! No shallow end in pool so 2 of our group wouldn’t use as couldn’t touch the bottom, not ideal for kids.
