Yankee Mountain - Unit 5

Loved the variety of bikes! I knew there were enough for our family of 7 but didn’t realize there was a tag along as well as a wagon included. I guess I didn’t look at the pictures close enough, but either way, it was a pleasant surprise! Although the ping pong table wasn’t there, there were a couple arcade games that my kids enjoyed.

Some of the bike seats didn’t fit the bikes they were on, I think 2 were stuck and unable to adjust, and the chain fell off 2 of the bikes a few times while riding. Also glad we brought our own helmets for the little ones.

We used this property for our family and my brother in laws family. Overall this is a great place for a family stay. It is well furnished and supplied for all your needs from cooking to entertainment. If you are looking for super fancy luxury this isn't it. But if you are a looking for a nice place for a family vacation this is perfect. The only negatives are the kitchen sink backed up a couple of times and the dishwasher isn't the best, but its a rental and we dealt with it. Beyond that, plenty of fun to be had between corn hole on the deck or NBA Jam in the garage, this is a good place to spend some time away.

The kitchen sink backed up a couple of times, they had a plunger in the garage real close to the sink so guessing it is a known problem. The dishwasher wasn't the best. Not necessarily something we didn't like but it should be known this is about 3 miles from the SHARC and Village so if that is a priority for you its not close.

Great location and lovely home.

The kitchen was tiny and awkward. Only a problem if you plan on cooking. The dishwasher was very hard to access, it blocks the sink. Part of why we chose this house was it says they have a ping pong table, but that was not true.

We appreciate the new carpet, deck and exterior paint, ability to bring a dog, and providing a range of extras like small appliances, SHARC passes, games and ping pong. House was clean and layout of house and 3 bathrooms was great for big family.

The only negatives were, although there were numerous bikes provided for various ages, many were in disrepair. The other negative is, although the deck is low, new and very nice, it would be nice to have railing for small children and dog. The biggest negative was we were not allowed to access home until 4:30 pm which is really a downside particularly if you have small children (I called for early access and awaited text that never came, so I had to call). It’s particularly frustrating when on our departure day we had to leave by 10:30. I know this is not a homeowner issue, but regardless it’s a big negative to considering a vacation rental for family vacation.
