The Springs Retreat

Very beautiful and peaceful to rest.

No complaints.

Nice cozy cottages. Wonderful spring water with fishing. We were able to catch and release some bass and perch. The kids had a great time. We had our dog with us and the grounds were great for that. Close access to some good restaurants and a local store for necessities. Excellent fire pit and barbecue. Fully stocked with utensils and dishes. Overall a great location and would definitely come back.

The water spring was nice pool was clean

The cabin with 1 room and one bed should not even be a option was old smelled shower was so small you couldn’t bend over to wash off without hitting your head way over priced. I don’t think anyone had stayed in this Cabin in a long time tv didn’t work next day were able to move to a nicer cabin even then I had to go to 2 different places to get a remote for a tv it was just ok for me I would strongly suggest you bring everything with you from wood bug spray charcoal towels other wise you have to over pay for those things

It has a beautiful peaceful setting at the creek. Our cabin overlooked the creek. Everything we needed was provided.

The bed was creaky but the mattress set was comfortable.

Price to value is a little off. Would have gladly paid more for a better experience.

A number of items need maintenance. Deadbolt lock on entry is improperly installed and will not lock. Most shades were broken and held up with clothes pins. Bathroom fit and finish is very rough.

The ground of the property were beautiful and the pool was nice.

We arrived after dark (our fault) it was very difficult to see the numbers on the cabins. Upon entering the cabin it smelt very old and the first thing we noticed was the uneven floor due to the building being so old. Even the toilet slanted. Overall, the building being old was not an issue for us… However, the light fixture above the bed was covered with spiderwebs and spiders. This felt like an immediate problem.. As always, I always check the sheets, the mattress, and the cleanliness around the side tables and behind the bed. The first thing I noticed was the cutesy pillows on top of the bed were filthy with black hair on them. As I pulled back the sheets I smelled them. They smell clean. However, I did find several long black hairs on the sheets. I also took a picture of what seemed like a brown smear on one of the pillows. Like I said, the cabin, being old really isn’t an issue, but there were many things that they could have repaired and made it look much nicer! I took pictures of all of the holes that were in the trim that did not get repainted due to replacing blinds. The pedestal sink in the bathroom wasn’t even attached the wall and you couldn’t put any weight on it or you would knock it over. We were left with a nice basket where the owner provided, marshmallows and graham crackers for s’mores. However, no chocolate. There was coffee and creamer available but the sugar jar was empty. The shower was incredibly inconvenient… Worse than our RV shower, with no place to set your soap and black mold on the ceiling. The second night I pulled back the sheets to get into bed, and there was a centipede in our bed. For the money which I believe I paid $168 per night. We grossly overpaid. The rest of the cabins on the property looked much newer…. I didn’t get a chance to look inside of them.  Ultimately, I believe that their marketing and website was very favorable to the property and we were very let down upon arrival.
