Beautiful Japanese design, extremely comfortable and all the amenities needed for a family. The location was a little bit out of the way but was very convenient for visiting Kiyomizudera and Gion.
The toilet room is extremely small - not an issue for us but would be uncomfortable for taller people as your knees are touching the wall in front of you. There are steep stairs to the bedrooms which could be an issue for people with mobility issues or smaller children’s but we travelled with out 3 year old and it was perfect!

Location was pretty good, a bit of walk to station or Gion area, but super close to Kyomizu dera temple. Breakfast or any food wasn't included in rental, but there is Lawson supermarket 5 minutes away, so it wasn't the problem. Clean little house, everything was working, we used frigde, kettle, washing machine without any issues. Also good comminucation with Shiki house team.
Maybe we didn't read the description properly, not sure- but we were a bit upset that 2 bedrooms are divided by sliding door and having just one exit to the stairs, so it's not 2 separate rooms like we thought. For one family it would be ok, but for 2 couples it felt like not much privacy for both. Also toilet room is extremely small, which caused some discomfort for our bigger partners as they were hardly fitting in there. :D

I liked that it was so close to most of the really cool historical sights! Definitely a recommend!

the size is good.
location is fine but not that convenient to other places. the biggest problem is the smell of the house. it ruined everything.
