Except for delays in checking in, the hotel was fine.

Someone should be in physically present in the daytime in the lobby. Otherwise it is not a hotel experience. I want to be able to leave my luggage ahead of check-in time at any hour within reasonable (let's say 8 am~ 9pm). Simple, eh? Not quite as I learned. When you are dragging back pack, business suit, and a bag from hotel nearby, having checked two hours beforehand I PERSON (when on a morning jog) Minn Kiyomizu will have someone present, you expect the assurance to hold. Instead, I drag my staff two hours later yet noone is there, and you end up chatting with hotel chatboT BECAUSE CALLS PHONE NUMBER ARE NOT ANSWERED . After a few (naturally) irritating 😠 explanation on failed service, an engineer from back office comes and actually video connects with (clueless) call center lady from SEA who does not know any better than to ask you to wait more (who cares if you are nearly late for your daytime appointments, right?) What to do? It is silly to drag my luggage to my biz meeting in a city, as if I am moving residence. Just for hotel management to save on the cost of paying salary to front desk staff (awesome idea - but then be prepared to get this type of review) The engineer guy sees your face paling in anger and kindly offers to hold the luggage for you at back office. Relief sigh.. you thank him and dash off in seconds. Why should it be so ydifficult? It ahould have never come to stress of this incident I stay at hotels not for experience of clueless Philipino or Vietnamese video call instead of basic front desk. Human at reception with clear indication of lunch break (for instance noon to 1 pm ) is what I insist is standard in all hotels. So it stainless steel tea pot (only bottom of cheap electric kettleettle is still - you would be boiling water for your tea in plastic!) So are instructions how to use stove - laminated, placed in kitchen with magnet on the fridge, for instance. I could not use IH stove as of course I cannot be bothered speaking to chatbot again after quite stressful if not traumatic incident earlier :) Room is clean, plates not only plastic, I could borrow iron with iron board - that is why I don't give low points. Above is enough for kaizen. Leaving the luggage with hotel on the same day guests check in is part of that and should be hassle free FOR GUEST, not just hotel management. Learn from this - I detailed "customer touchpoints" for you. And please thank the engineer for saving the situation - otherwise I would choose "will not recommend" which would impact your rating on Agoda negatively. Also, in dire situations like I described you SHOULD be able to call guests to local Japanese phone number when requested to.

All overall is good, value of money specially as well facilites of the hotel , location was great
