Somewhat value for money with couple of glitches

Cleanliness, silent neighbourhood, authentic design

Point 1: We reserved a parking spot and paid for it. When we were back at late, we did see the designated parking garage completely full. Reception told us to park in front of the hotel which did not feel quite safe for my car. Overbooking for parking was not a pleasant situation. Point 2: Breakfast hall capacity is lower compared to number of guests. Breakfast is fair enough however, we had to wait standing for sometime for others to finish their breakfast and leave, fortunately staff asked people sitting for long to leave.

Good Hotel, but invoice strange - extra service charge for what?

The Rooms are very nice and the location is very close to the city.

The invoicing:I got an extra charge, called service charge, on my invoice and the service people at the reception were not able to answer it in a proper way. I already wrote a message to them to ask for a clear information, but no response. That is disappointing for a in general good hotel.

Nice and modern hotel

Nice old collège or boys’ school that was nicely renovated, very comfortable bed and modern bathroom. Friendly staff.

We had problems with our key twice. Breakfast dishes all smelled like eggs.

Refurbished school building turned into hotel

Clean room, good shower, coffee maker is available and necessary, please see above.

Breakfast starts at 8 am despite their written information stating it starts at 7am. Early guests are.... Sent away! They are strict here. No bending of rules. The hotel is located in an old school building which may not be according to everyone's taste. Rooms are modestly sized. I would recommend not treating guests like junior pupils and taking some refresher training at the hotel school ;-)

Beautiful hotel

This was my second time staying at this hotel, and once again, I had a great experience. The room was clean and spacious, with high ceilings and a large window, which made the space feel even more open and comfortable. The bathroom was also a good size—modern and functional. One of the highlights of my stay was the friendly and welcoming staff.

Better time than my review states.

Cool atmosphere. Near city square walking area. Staff is polite and professional. All problems seem to be management or relationship with laundry business.

1. Laundry disaster. I filled out form gave to staff as requested for same day delivery. I checked out before laundry returned. I was billed for laundry. Now I will be charged to DHL my clothes back to me. 2. Hilton honors member but booked through third party due to work requirements. Sad that no points can be applied. 3. Wireless did not work with my phone. I had to use data when at hotel.

Not Enough Parking Space

Even though they said there were parking spaces, they could not provide parking. They directed me to a few places in the city. I was at risk of being punished and that's why I didn't accept it. Then they asked me to take my car to the pavement of the hotel and leave it. My car was left on the pavement all night without being in the parking lot.

Ok but expensive for what it is

Property is lovely

Teller wasn’t enough staff in duty, the staff that weee there were fantastic but they were far too busy, and although they tried to service all the areas to the best of their ability they just weren’t resourced to the standard I would have expected. The poor guy trying to service the restaurant and the bar was run off his feet.

Parking , on 'booking.com' should have said 'Parking is limited' as when arrived late no spaces were available and had to park 10min walker also the reception was not that helpful. Reception gave a list , but no directions back to hotel , so possible others might have got lost especial if late in the evening Also no room service after 10pm , so if you have a hold up you will need to stop off at a different place to eat

Lovely and comfortable but eat elsewhere for breakfast

Beautifully converted and maintained, comfortable bed and chairs with enough space to work, great staff on reception

The air con in the room wasn’t straightforward and no instructions, no heating in the bathroom, breakfast was indifferent- other guests were asked if they wanted eggs but I wasn’t, expensive at €19 so I would recommend getting breakfast elsewhere

I didn’t like the manager of this hotel, she was very mean and was forcing me to pay for something which was not my request with a threatening voice. Housekeeping did not clean my room for 2 days, only changed the towels and made the bed but floors were dirty, bathroom was dirty, very poor housekeeping

Great hotel to stay to explore Sittard and environment and as base to visit Maastricht

Modern outlay in characteristic building. Comfortable spacious rooms, great breakfast. Great shower Staff in breakfast room is very friendly and very customer oriented. Great parking facilities and also close to railway station (15 minutes to Maastricht)

Airconditioning is very complicated to operate. During the night it appears not be able to customise Reception when arriving was not very friendly, even bit square.

Breakfast of good quality, but same selection every day. Hotel very well placed, closed to train/bus station. Very nice dinner before the concert.
