Located just a ten-minute drive from Taunton, this chalet-inspired home is an idyllic getaway for a couple or a single traveller in need of some rest and recuperation. Spend your days hiking through the nearby Quantocks and Blackdown Hills — or drive forty minutes to Doniford Beach — then head back to your converted barn for a cosy evening in. Whip up wonderful meals in the kitchen, using eggs laid by the chickens that live in the garden or vegetables from the patch that you're welcome to pick at any time. Alternatively, fire up the coal barbecue in the orchard and dine alfresco on the terrace with sweeping countryside views while the sun sets around you. Sometimes you don't need much to have a splendid holiday.
