Wonderful countryside retreat

A lovely tranquil setting, set back from the road. Heard owls hooting at night and was very cosy with the fire! Very homey cottage! Likely to meet horses nearby and easy drive to Lulworth Cove/Durdle door area for amazing coastal walks and Dorset sculpture park for a flat walk with stunning art work. Would highly recommend staying here!

Cute and cosy cottage in a rural setting

Location was very rural but easy to find. The cottage itself was super cosy, small but had everything we needed. Beds were very comfy as were the reclining chairs. It was lovely having the log fire but to be honest the heaters chucked out a lot of heat on their own. Games were a nice addition as was the bucks fizz and milk in the fridge :-) We loved watching all the wildlife, no deer, but robins, squirrels, pheasants, and a fox! Also great for star gazing, we had a really clear evening and it is pitch black in the garden! My cat absolutely loved it, was nice to take him away with us.

Wasn't cleaned 100% from the previous guests, just a few things left over, but it was xmas, and I did ask if we could check in a little earlier, so it might have been a bit rushed. Really wasn't an issue though, beds, bathroom, living room were all spotless.

A lovely Christmas stay in a beautiful, cosy cottage. Perfectly located, wonderfully relaxing, and very dog-friendly. Thank you for a memorable festive break in Moreton — and the bed was beyond comfortable.

A very restful stay in a well equipped cottage. Plenty to do without having to travel too far.

Very quiet and restful. Beds very comfortable and we slept extremely well. Very comfortable seating in the lounge.

Heating could have been on longer. Managed to override, but wasn’t easy. Twin bedroom didn’t have any hanging space/wardrobe. Overcome with little moths, especially in the kitchen area.

Peaceful stay, beautiful surroundings, well located for exploring the area

Beautiful cottage with a lovely garden. Extremely quiet, just the birds to listen to. We saw deer in the garden one evening. The bedrooms were very comfortable and light. We didn't use it but there's a garden room set up with armchairs which looks like a lovely place to read. The hosts were really responsive and friendly. Location is great for easy access by car to Dorchester, Lulworth Cove, Brownsea Island, Studland Beach. Truly lovely area.

Beautiful cottage. Well maintained. Felt secluded but close enough to drive to Jurassic Coast and explore some beautiful countryside on foot. Graced by deer in garden final evening - just magical.

Perfect picturesque stay!

Such a beautiful picturesque property to stay in, it’s located in an off road with two other properties near by but your totally secluded it felt , gorgeous scenery and we were so lucky to have a wild deer visit us. Perfect stay in this part of the country.

perfect location to make memories

Beautiful chocolate box cottage with stunning gardens. The log burner was an absolute bonus! Everything was spotlessly clean and comfortable.

Lovely cottage 😊

Lovely secluded cottage, well equipped with everything you need, excellent location for visiting places such as Durdle Door etc, lovely seeing the deer in the garden in the mornings, and a big garden which was lovely to play ball with my doggy in the evening after days out.

Shower was a little low for my height and the stairs are steep, but it’s an old cottage and so those things are nothing unexpected to be fair, and didn’t detract from my stay. I’d look to see if it was available if I was to visit Dorset again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, so peaceful and far from the madding crowd, but so handy for visiting many places.

It was full of character, clean, cosy, well stocked with everything you needed. Bed was wonderful. Position was amazing, gardens extensive.

My elderly sister found the stairs on the steep side, they are if you have difficulty. A hand rail on the left going up may solve any problems.

Perfect

Gorgeous cottage in quiet secluded grounds, very well equipped cottage, it had everything we needed and more, excellent location to explore Dorset. The only sound we could hear was birdsong we even had a couple of visits from a deer at the edge of the garden. Fantastic relaxing few days. Just perfect.

Lovely secluded cottage. We were very happy with our stay. It’s an older property, so as someone over 6 foot, there were a few challenging areas, particularly the shower. However, it didn’t detract from a great week. Many thanks!

A lovely scenic few days away

The location of the property is great for visiting Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove, Tank Museum and more. It is a very scenic cottage with an enclosed garden.

A great base to stay to view Dorchester and the surrounding area.

The cottage whilst tucked away off the beaten track, which makes it quiet and secluded and great for romantic getaways or breaks with children as there is plenty of playing space, is actually very close to Dorchester, Weymouth, Bridport, West Bay, and lots of good restaurants, local artisanal shops. It is a great base for a holiday.

The bathroom is downstairs, there is no WC upstairs, whilst this was not a problem for us, if you had little children it might be a problem in the night.

It didn’t live up to our expectations because of the kitchen

The location was amazing, beautiful gardens and surrounding area, very peaceful. Wild life amazing enjoyed watching the pheasants every day. The cottage was lovely very cosy, the sitting room was fine, the beds really comfortable. The fact our little dog was welcome was av bonus.

The cleanliness of the kitchen especially was very bad. When we arrived we did have food with us to cook. Unfortunately the utensils in the kitchen seemed to have a coating of grease on them, as they were hanging above the cooker we can only surmise that someone had used the hob but had not cleaned up after. Both frying pan handles were hanging off and had to be screwed back on then had to soak both for 45mins as there was burnt food in each pan, then scrubbed them for 15 mins until clean. Every glass we pick up had lip marks on and were just put into the cupboard. Cups had not been cleaned properly. The wooden chopping board was to dirty and stained we didn’t want to use it. The kettle was full of lime scale and had to be washed out before use. All the plates were dirty either with grease or small hairs on. The cooker had remnants of food on the oven shelves, the trays that were left in the oven were also greasy so we didn’t use the oven. I had to wipe out the microwave oven as that had remnants of food on the glass plate and on the back of the microwave. The silicone oven gloves had food stuck to them. I could go on but I will leave it at that. As we decided to eat out and not use the basic facilities the kitchen had.

It was very relaxing..no traffic noise..so peaceful..never stayed anywhere so quiet..beds were comfortable & the living room was very cozy...plenty of parking..the cottage had everything we needed..

Very quiet rural location, no noise apart from birds chirping. Nice garden space and would be great for summer visitors as BBQ , etc all there for use. Cottage was lovely and very comfortable

Only minor issue was one of the previous occupants had not cleared up after their dog on the lawns!!!

We had a relaxing time at honeysuckle cottahe and enjoyed exploring the area with our dogs on walks.

The cottage was charming and in a beautiful tucked away location so it was very peaceful. The cottage was well equipped and the beds were comfortable. It was lovely having spacious gardens for our dogs to play in.

Perfect short break in a family friendly property in an idyllic location

The property was well appointed, clean and much bigger than expected whilst still feeling cosy. Plenty of space for our family of two adults and two children. The grounds were in great condition and perfect for summer evenings. One piece of advice, based on the rural nature of the property it is prone to having small flies present - not a complaint in the slightest, but recommend taking fly spray (as we did) with you if you’d rather not have them around. Small amenities left such as tea/coffee were a nice touch and made our arrival more relaxed. 20-25 minutes to all the best local points of interest so a real perfect base. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

Peaceful, comfortable, well equiped. Location, near where I was visiting. Beautiful cottage, second visit! (Minor issues are not complaints but info for future guests!).

Very minor things, opening and closing two gates when you are on your own (dog not good at dealing with gates or driving!). Steep stairs between bedroom(s) and bathroom - not great in early hours. Low ceiling hight round hanging space and by window in 'main' bedroom. (Minor issues, not complaints but info for future guests!).
