Absolutely amazing

Wow what a beautiful place the holiday cottage had everything we needed and more absolutely spotless,warm,cosy,peaceful with the most spectacular views especially the sunsets at night. Some great surroundings areas to explore clashnessie falls being one of our favourites 😊jacuzzi bath was perfect to unwind after a lovely day of exploring. Kitchen had everything you can think of which you need to cook a lovely meal. The bed was so comfy. It was and is the most beautiful place we’ve been we lived it that much we are going back in the autumn 😊

The location is peaceful. The cottage is nice and big enough even for a longer stay. You can cook properly with a large gas stove. The views with the sea, sheep and birds are beautiful and the coast is nearby. The bed and the thicker pillows were really good.

We received a message that check-in starts at 3 pm. We were there ten minutes early and the cleaning wasn't finished. It was okay to wait a little but we ended up waiting almost an hour.( Luckily the weather was chilly so the groceries stayed cool in the car.) No explanation was given. Still it looked like the cleaning had been done in a hurry. (I don't blame the cleaner; maybe there wasn't enough time and there's a lot to clean) Next we struggled with the Wifi code. It was weirdly handwritten so we couldn't figure out all the letters and had to go through many options. One problem was the remote controls. We got one working and it was enough for us at least. Maybe the owner should bring the right size batteries for them. There were no washing liquids which have been available in all other self catering places, even cheaper ones. Many things were different, or didn't exist at all, from what I had understood when I made the reservation. For example, there was no dining table outside. I could have written directly to the owner about these issues (I asked about dishwashing tablets; they are not included), but I noticed that some customers had recently already complained about these and some other problems and things still haven't changed. It doesn't take much effort to check from time to time between customers that everything is in order. So Sean, I hope you also take seriously the reviews of customers who weren't happy with everything.

Perfect escape with an amazing view

The cottage exceeded our expectations. The position of the villa is a little remote but the views are outstanding. The villa was immaculately clean and very comfortable and had lots to offer. The kitchen area and bathroom were superb and the bed very comfy. We did not want to leave and hopefully we will be able to return for longer. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip.

More than complete and the best place we've been to in Scotland

Everything you can ever think of in a holiday cottage was there, From a Playstation 4 and a huge flatscreen to a jacuzzi, indeed a very comfy place in a very nice environment.

Idea might be to keep provide a way to blocj the sun from heating up the room. We had unusual weather (quite hot) and since the view is on the West, the sun heats up the house for a long time. Internet speed was poor but that is what we more or less expected given the fact that this is a rather remote location.

Quiet and Pretty

A very quiet place to visit. The decor was attractive. The bed was comfortable. Having a washer and dryer was fantastic. It was nice to find some welcoming snacks. If you are self catering it has all the tools you could possible need.

There is very little room for your own things as most surfaces are already occupied with ornaments and lamps. There are no bedside-tables in the bedroom. Definitely not enough power plugs in any of the rooms, for example I had to use the ones in the kitchen to power up my toothbrush! There is no footpath so be prepared to carry your bags over the gravel path when leaving. The towels were small and tired. Not being able to drive the car up next to the house but having to park it outside the fence even though it was inside the property boundary.

Great Cottage, great People!

The Cottage is located in a very beautiful area, you will see the Ocean in the morning from the windows in the living Room. As we arrived late, Sean helped us with our luggage in pooring rain! It‘s a pitty that we have not been staying longer but for one night. We would definitely recommend!!

Fabulous hosts, superb location. The extra touches of providing slippers and dressing gowns were wonderful. Sean met us at the car and helped with our luggage and then talked through the property. The welcome gifts were a real treat.

Appreciate decorative items are a personal taste and ours is more minimalistic - because if this we felt overwhelmed and uncomfortable with the amount of decorative items on display. It is a lovely house however.

Car parking could be nearer to the property to get food and cases in more easily. The house is full of ornaments therefore limiting space for guests to use. It was expensive.

The highlight of our trip - a truly hidden gem in the highlands!

What more can I say about this wonderful place, the wonderful hosting, and this wonderful location?? It was absolutely the gem of our trip, I’m so glad we found this place. It was very comfortable, homey, the views from the accommodation were astonishing and we loved having this mini house for our trip. Our hosts recommended some wonderful sights to see, gave us info on what was nearby and everything else we needed to know! Even though it’s out on its own, that’s what it’s all about; the nature, the wandering highland cows and the crashing waves, just so freeing and relaxing! Thank you so much for having us and if you’re thinking of staying here - do it!! We would love to return if we ever come to the highlands again. Thanks!

The only criticism I would have would be faster / more efficient internet - but most accommodation in the highlands were the same, and I guess it’s part of the getaway - getting away in nature!

Perfect in every way!

The cottage was situated in one of the most beautiful areas that we have had the pleasure to visit; the landscape and scenery were tranquil making it hard for us to depart. The Cottage was quaint and quirky with a homely feel and we loved everything about it, especially the whirlpool bath :-) Achmelvich beach/bay are a stone throw away which was a lovely surprise. The hosts were conscientious and super helpful, promptly replying to any questions. We highly recommended this holiday cottage for anyone who wants to visit this area.
