Only around a 5-minute Uber ride from the airport. Kudos to the host as she was very helpful, responsive, and even offered to help carry my suitcase, which I really appreciated. The room had the bare minimum facilities and was clean enough for a quick overnight stay. One thing to note is that part of the access involves a short dirt path, which can be a bit difficult when dragging large luggage, so I’d recommend this place more for travelers with backpacks or for stays under a day.

Reasonable, clean convenient to airport. Uber to Avis rental car was $3.
No hot water. Extremely difficult to find. Taxi is $30 from airport to go a mile.

Perfect location, excellent value, big comfortable bed, nice view of Alajuela in the morning
It was very basic (for example no sink in the bathroom), but that was fine for the price and location

Bed pillow towels
Lack of drop-off surfaces. No signs on the street or clear directions.
In the booking.com it says that the transport from and to the airport is included in the price and I even got the confirmation email saying that it is agreed on that, but in fact the owner offered to reserve a shuttle for 15 $ one way. Thats the regular price for a shuttle or a taxi. Disappointing.
