We reserved and stayed in 3 rooms for one night before going to the airport. Carmen was an excellent host, made traveling easy in San Jose.

I enjoyed my time at Casa Carmen. I only stayed for a night due to an early morning flight so the location was great (very close by the airport). Carmen is very personable and provided me with tips of how to navigate San Jose and pointed me in the direction of a very nice restaurant (soda). I'd definitely stay again!
Very minor - there was a little work being done, so some items were still out. Again this is minor, and I so happen to book when these work was being done, I'd imagine these will be put away soon.

Location near to boat pier restaurants & beach however not beachfront. Offer discounts on night & canoe tour but not kayak tour so be sure to clarify before booking ( which I did not & paid full price for kayak tour which finished early & didn’t go into the wetlands canals as did a previous one with another tour operator)
Room was so so hot in May with only a pedastal fan & no cooling sea breezes.

location was okay and price was proper for the style of room
room was small. had twin beds instead of one single full size and no air conditioning.
