Villa Mida

This Villa was fantastic. If you like a rural area with peace and quiet then this is the place for you. We needed space after a very busy year and it was so relaxing. The views are absolutely stunning. Mount Etna was unbelievable and if you are an early riser I found it the best time to get photo's of the Volcano. The Villa has everything you need from a BBQ to an outdoor oven and even a quad bike. Loads of space for up to 6 people and the swimming pool was heaven sent on hot days. Plenty of seating areas as well. Our host Simona was fantastic and was only a text away. Definitely coming back to this place. Sicily is absolutely stunning and the people are lovely.

Loved everything

the Villa is great for leisure overlooking the Etna, with great pool. perfect for country vacation with convenient location to travel around (20-30 mins to Traumina, 1 hr to Etna). be advised - you must have a car to get there and around. the host is very nice and welcoming.

note that there are 2 large rooms so the villa can comfortably host 4 people. the Sofa in the living room is not so comfy and there is a lot of light there.

The position was excellent, watching mount Etna every day was fantastic

The property had everything you needed, the pool was great.

The swimming pool is a good size and the views on 3 sides were lovely however it felt very exposed. The villa is spacious and clean and the showers were good.

The location is not near to bars and restaurants - It was very exposed and the perimeter walls and fence open to neighbouring property - we had a couple of very large dogs wandered onto the pool area. The fixtures and fittings were low quality - mainly from Ikea. The window blinds didn't fit and were fiddly to open and close and did not give actual privacy. The many glass doors were not secure - the owner had to come and fix the locks on arrival. The lighting in the evening was very bright and harsh and with the blinds not covering all the windows we did not feel private. The mattress was ok but the pillows were extremely hard. The approach to the property was strewn with litter and fly tipping and graffiti which was unpleasant. The drive needed attention and we grounded the car a few times. The area around the villa needs cleaning up. The nearby beach was full of litter and we did not use it.
