Villa Mida

The position was excellent, watching mount Etna every day was fantastic

The property had everything you needed, the pool was great.

A peaceful but convenient location, it has everything you need and we found it comfortable and relaxing. Wonderful pool too!

Initially the driveway from the road but amazingly this got fixed and new tarmac laid whilst we were there, so all fine now!

The swimming pool is a good size and the views on 3 sides were lovely however it felt very exposed. The villa is spacious and clean and the showers were good.

The location is not near to bars and restaurants - It was very exposed and the perimeter walls and fence open to neighbouring property - we had a couple of very large dogs wandered onto the pool area. The fixtures and fittings were low quality - mainly from Ikea. The window blinds didn't fit and were fiddly to open and close and did not give actual privacy. The many glass doors were not secure - the owner had to come and fix the locks on arrival. The lighting in the evening was very bright and harsh and with the blinds not covering all the windows we did not feel private. The mattress was ok but the pillows were extremely hard. The approach to the property was strewn with litter and fly tipping and graffiti which was unpleasant. The drive needed attention and we grounded the car a few times. The area around the villa needs cleaning up. The nearby beach was full of litter and we did not use it.
