Shana by the Beach is a wonderful place. The rooms were spacious and clean and the staff were amazing. Front desk and the little store are up on the top of the property but the y have golf carts to come pick you up if you need a lift. The front desk will also call a taxi for you and tell you about how much your trip should be. The walk to the beach is about 10 minutes and the beach is very rocky. There are many monkeys on the property! Food was good and they have happy hour 2 for 1 drinks which was nice. They do add service charges to the food bills so be prepared. Overall it was a great place and I would definitely stay there again.

The hotel was great to stay at for a family. We saw so many monkeys. The staff at the restaurant specifically Javier made everything so much better. He was so outgoing and tended to our needs every time he saw us eating breakfast.

Unfortunately, we were set to visit, but there was a medical issue with our group. We communicated with staff to reschedule the date. They asked to send proof of our issue. We did, but they said it was too late and wouldn't honor our request. I actually wouldn't have mind if they just said they couldn't honor our request since they have a no cancellation policy. However, to make us go through additional steps and not follow through just made it worse. We would have loved to made Shana by the Beach a memorable place, unfortunately life happens. Regardless, it does look like a lovely place, but the customer service really left us not wanting to patronize this place unfortunately.
