Place was safe and secured. Warm place with a vintage feel

They only have Dstv, no online streaming

Friendly hosts that were easy to reach if we needed anything/had any questioms. Beautifully decorated flat with extra towels, blankets and pillows available. Also had excellent wifi, a aircon and the DSTV was awesome to watch the world cup. Beach was within walking/running distance and was wonderful to visit. Gateway is also nearby, with a number of resturants to choose from.

The location was great…peaceful and safe.

Would have been great if there were a few more items in the kitchen e.g. empty food containers with lids, frying pan, iron etc.

We’ve stayed in many places and this place was a bit of a let down. To call it a cottage is a bit misleading because it’s connected to the house. So much so that you can hear noise upstairs and it’s unpleasant in the morning when trying to sleep in. We would have also appreciated being notified of someone coming by to attend to the garden while we were there. The glasses in the cupboards are dirty. The fabric on the chairs of the dining table is dirty. I’ve never seen an oven in such a state; the inside is grimy along with trays that needed to be replaced a long time ago. The bed is quite noisy as it creaks and the pillows are flat and uncomfortable. The greatest let down is how dusty it is in there. On the surface everything is clean but upon closer inspection and more time spent in there you’ll be able to tell that corners are being cut when it comes to cleaning. Our noses were always so stuffy when we were in the cottage. We’d wake up incredibly blocked. The light bulb in the shower does not work so we showered in the dark and the grate over the shower drain is loose. This is just to name a few things, the hosts would benefit greatly by spending a few nights in there themselves.
