Majestic Studios Rhodes, min to Old Town

Located in the center of Rhodes city, the stay allows you to reach any of its corners and sightseeing places within 15 to 20 minutes walk. The studio is nicely decorated and equipped with all necessary facilites for a short stay. The host lives nearby and is very helpful with his recommendations what to visit around and how to reach it. Well-sized supermarket is just around the corner. Great value for money overall.

Maybe stairs without elevator, but this is just to keep in mind in case you are bringing heavy bag(s) with you, what wasn't my case.

The owner and host, Vasileios, is a nice guy and very helpfull. He is sort of a poet, we think. The studio is well situated for visiting the Old Town of Rhodes. The bed was excellent. The shower is good. There is a display of pipe plumbing art in the corner of the bathroom, nicely decorated with plastic green ivy. There was a sandwich toaster which we liked to make some breakfast. The price of this studio is good compared to other places and to what you get for it in this area.

The host really supplies a lot of information; already in the description on Booking. Basically that is enough. But after booking this studio, in separate messages we received another 4 dense A4 pages with things we needed to be beware of and or careful with, things we had to do (scan ID's, fill out various forms one of which to get the remote for the A/C) and also some usefull tips for sightseeing. Some info came twice. Of course some was really necessary. But a little bit less would be nice. When you are preparing to travel you really don't want to read a lot of info that could easily be lying in the appartement when you arrive. As far as we are concerned, we need to know how to get into the apartment. That's about it. The host is a word artist, a poet perhaps. Obviously we had seen the photos of the apartment beforehand. So we knew there was nothing 'majestic' about this studio, but we liked the displayed sense of humour. Of the described 'complimentary delicious chocolate croissant' we have to admit it was the best pre-packed chocolate croissant we had ever eaten, because we never had one before and do not intent to eat one again. The street on which the apartment is situated is rather loud with traffic until about 11 pm. But you can close the balcony doors and we have ear plugs on hand. So the described 'airy oasis of serenity' you could enjoy on the balcony is a bit overdone. And indeed you can have a 'view on the garden' if you bend over the balcony. The studio is on the 3rd floor so the two flights of stairs may be a little bit much for some people. It of course has 'exquisite 3rd floor views', I guess. The arrangement of the practically empty kitchen cupboard is not optimal. I think there could be a square meter extra floor space if this would be improved.

All you need for a short stay. Convenient for Rhodes Old Town. Supermarket and coffee shop just down the street
