Comfortable but hotel smelt of wet dog

The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows, the location was great for exploring Marseille.

The smell of wet dog due to the 2 large dogs that stay behind reception was very off putting and disgusting upon entering the property and leaving, in fairness it didn’t enter the room but the hallway and reception area smelt bad. The shower also leaked so had a very low pressured shower.

Very short but ideal for a one night stay. Surprisingly quiet considering the location.

It was close to amenities and the room was private compared to the photos I saw with sharing a bunk bed. Even though it was very basic, it was ok for passing through the night. There was even a small fridge provided, I didn’t expect that. Did not meet any staff face to face, but instructions were very clear and easy to understand. I was grateful for that!

The stairs! They were so steep, I thought I would fall. So glad I didn’t have any luggage or else it would have been worse

The bed is a nightmare!! The synthetic blanket is not even covered up by a proper bed sheet which is supposed to be the normal standard. No Kettle, also not even a single cup is being provided, not to mention about complimentary water!

It was decent

The hotel is old but the facilities were quite good and have a nice variety: fan, heater, mini fridge, working desk, counter, chair, pillow for hugging which was surprisingly good for its price. The location is top-notch, just one metro station away from the main station St Charles. The furniture have a retro vibe. My room had a balcony with big window look straight into the city.

There were no actual staff at the counter. I just picked up the key from the guideline of self-check-in note in the message, which was okay. I saw just a cleaning lady the next morning. But in case someone needs help from a receptionist like asking about city services or having them to help keep your luggage is a different story.

Not recommended

Very dirty: dirty floor, dirty bathroom and litter on the floor, poor sound isolation, rude personell. Depsite on a good location and cheap price, I do not recommend the place.

Pleasant

Traveling in the 70’s, I would look for these 0 star hotels in France for $8 and was surprised to find one still existed but with inflation $40 was not too much to pay. The owner was friendly, the room nice with 10 ft ceiling and attached bathroom.

I had gangstas talking super loud out in front of my room on the street during the night which woke me and kept me up. Travelers need to sleep good so that was a negative. I didn’t feel unsafe at any time so overall I was happy.

Gut als Zwischenstop

Es ist ein einfaches Hotel in der Nähe des Bahnhofs. Für uns bei einer Übernachtung völlig ausreichend. Das Bett (Zi 103) hat eine gute Matratze und bei geschlossenen Fenster war es auch nicht zu laut. Um die Ecke gibt es verschiedene Möglichkeiten zum Frühstück.

Eu com certeza vou me hospedar nesse lugar na próxima vez que eu for em Roma. Tudo estava excente.. cama confortável, ótima localização, não precisei de transporte para nada. O rapaz italiano peruano que nos atendeu deixou tudo impecável. Inclusive, muito obrigada pela simpatia e gentileza do início ao fim de nossa estadia. Eu e o meu marido tivemos dois dias incríveis!!!!! Nota 1000

Très correct,bien mais sans plus.

Bien placé,très propre,accès très pratique et parking attenant. En revanche, bruyant côté rue et commodités très limitées :pas de verre pour boire,pas de chausse pieds ni de crayon ou stylo avec papier,télévision en panne,produits de toilette a minima ,… Mais néanmoins sympathique et bon rapport qualité /prix.

Praktisch.

Fußläufig nahe am Hauptbahnhof gelegen. In ca. 15 Minuten ist man zu Fuß im alten Hafen. Es wurde wohl eine Renovierung vorgenommen, diese ist aber noch nicht in allen Punkten zu Ende gedacht und umgesetzt.

Kein Aufzug im Haus. Mir war das nicht so wichtig, aber für andere könnte das ein Punkt sein. Im Badezimmer gab es keinerlei Haken, um Dinge aufzuhängen. Nicht mal für die Hoteleigenen Handtücher.
