Akis Garden

I stayed here with my husband and it exceeded our expectations . It would be perfect also for a solo traveler as the wonderful owners live just across the road and are so welcoming and helpful so a solo traveler would have their own space without feeling totally alone . It gives a tase of a genuine life on this beautiful island as it is in a residential area but close to everything . The house has everything you need . The kitchen is very cute and the bedroom sitting room is very spacious and cool . The house. has plenty of room with a lovely traditional garden which is perfect to relax in or eat outside . There is a very friendly cat who stays in the garden and doesn’t come inside the house and the owners have lovely hens that live not far from the house . They are in their own enclosed area and are beautiful to see . The owner left us eggs which were delicious . We walked from the main town to the property with our cases and walked to the airport for our flight home . The property is so convenient . Thank you to the owners for making us feel so welcome

Nothing . Thank you to the delightful owners who made us feel more like guests rather than friends . We have come flowers they gave us growing in our garden now which is a lovely reminder of our stay .

The very kind owner and his wife went out of their way to welcome me. Although he did not have much English, he brought me eggs from the hens he keeps so I could make an omelet for breakfast, and he brought me some fresh produce from his lovely garden over the road which was very kind. The garden there is beautiful and it was a lovely experience sitting there and looking at all the beautiful flowers. It is in a very peaceful location.

Slightly difficult to fine- I was on foot and pulling my suitcase. A bit of a trek from the airport but I asked a few people on the way, who helped me get there with directions. Not all the little streets have street names up so it can be difficult to find the way. Everyone I met was helpful though.

The staff were very friendly and the house has a very nice garden, it’s also quite close to the centre just one bus away.

The facilities are old, the washing machine for example is usable. However when we used it our clothes got stuck inside and they had to call someone to help as the washing machine wasn’t opening. Although Mr.Akis was very helpful it’s still something to note.

Great location and a very friendly host.

I didn’t like the smell of the place — it smelled a bit damp and like an old house. It was also slightly dirty. I don’t think it is worth the high price for just a one-night stay, but it is okay for a quick overnight stop before or after a flight
