A nice house with a bit of love and elbow greace could be good stay. Sadly not for us...

Great location on the edge of town with an easy walk to the shops. Parking at the Mill Pool car park was 5-minute walk and GBP 26.00 for the week, good value and convenient. Loading and unloading was easy enough, at the front of the house with time limited parking.

It’s frankly absurd that we weren’t allowed to check into the house until 3pm, despite being forced out by 9am on Saturday. The imbalance here is laughable. Of course, we understand the need for cleaning time—when there’s actual evidence of cleaning being done. Unfortunately, that was nowhere to be seen. We were greeted not with a clean and welcoming property, but with a full ashtray left out on the table like some kind of dismal welcome gift. The outdoor furniture was filthy—bird droppings everywhere—and clearly hadn’t seen so much as a damp cloth in weeks. A great first impression. The house itself may have once been decent, but years of hard use and clear neglect have taken their toll. It’s now shabby, worn, and feels entirely unloved. The so-called "cleaning"? A joke. Dust coated the skirting boards, cobwebs clung to every corner, and a spider colony appeared to have moved in full-time. I didn’t dare inspect the carpets too closely—some things are better left unknown. "Grubby" doesn’t even begin to cover it. The listing proudly claims it accommodates eight adults in comfort. That’s a fantasy. A tiny under-counter fridge that can’t hold supplies for a group that size, only eight plates (so good luck if one’s dirty), and a woeful lack of general kitchenware. The living room had seven seats—so unless someone wanted to perch on a window ledge, someone was always left standing. There are no drying facilities for beach stuff. Then there's the matter of the bathrooms. The description boldly states three. What you actually get is two shower rooms with a toilet and basin, and a bath crammed into one of the bedrooms. Calling this “three bathrooms” is not just misleading—it’s dishonest. And let’s not forget the back of the house, which was nothing short of revolting. A neglected, grimy area with an overflowing drain—a festering mess that clearly hasn’t been touched in years.

Nice situation but house needs a good clean and a makeover.

The location to town.

They were having issues with gas supply and hot water.so we had no hot water for 3 days. Also one shower room was unusable as drains were blocked. However owners did compensate us for all the inconvenience so we are grateful for that. Decor is a little tired and house needs a good spring clean.

Looe house with a great view and close to town

The location of this house is great, just a short walk into Looe town. We spent much time on the terrace which has a lovely view over the water. The owner always responded well to any questions that we had. The accommodation worked well for our family too... all clean and tidy. Would recommend.

Thinking of booking again for next year, everyone really enjoyed Looe and the house itself.

Very clean very close to town and beach, the living space was a good size for us the relax in and the rooms where a good size so no one felt squashed in.

The park is tricky but there is a long stay car park about 5 mins away which I would recommend and as everything is so close you don’t really need your car unless you want to travel outside of Looe. Also the swimming pool isn’t available in august which I don’t think is a big deal but I didn’t think it was clear before I booked but as I said not a deal breaker for me.

Lovely, clean, modern, comfortable 3 storey house in central Looe location with good views.

Good location, a short walk into centre of Looe. Good views over the river from front bedrooms,, sitting room and front terrace. Overlooks main road (not huge) into Looe so busy at times but no road noise and didn’t really detract from the view or location. Super comfy beds, nice towels, clean & modern decor throughout including bathrooms and kitchen. Plenty of space to sit/eat. Household stuff and a few tea bags/sugar/milk/S&P sachets available on arrival, enough for a couple of days (but no toiletries, ie shower gel, shampoo, hand/body lotion - which would be a nice extra given the price of accommodation). Nice to have the box of beach stuff for our children to use.

Some personal toiletries ie shower/bath gel, shampoo/conditioner, body lotion, tissues would be a nice added extra in the bathrooms. It’s quite a slog, with lots of luggage, up 2 steeply sloped ramps plus steps to access the front door - but they warn you about this in the booking details. There are also 3 flights of stairs to top floor bedrooms. But good to be able to park on the road right under the property to unload (if space available). Would be good to have a drier as well as the washing machine - or a warm space to for drying kids’ beach stuff overnight.

poor condition of the back of the house. A Barbecue out the back could not be used because was covered in Leaves and looked uninvited. Also it wad very wet because after Rain it flooded the back wall and seeped out continuously

The house was great. It was just up the road from the main part of Looe and the beach. It had all we needed in it. stayed for 2 weeks. The veiw was stunning

The stairs and ramp up to the house. But there is nothing that can be done about that. Also it was on the road into Looe which was busy. But these did not take away from all that was great

Wonderful Autumn breeak

The furniture was comfortable and meant we could all sit around and chat. The mattresses on the double beds were amazing - all of us mentioning what a great sleep we'd had. The view from the living room and front bedrooms over the river and Millpool was beautiful. The decor of the house was lovely. Its location means that you have a short walk to the beach and town centre. We loved our stay

Lovely house in a beautiful setting

Great central location with beautiful views from the rooms and front balcony. Spacious house for 8 adults with comfy beds, we had a lovely stay. Looe itself and the coastal walk to Polperro was stunning.

The BBQ hadn't been cleaned and was unusable so we had to buy a disposable one instead. Whilst it was communicated what the house would be stocked with, I prefer places that supply kitchen condiments/cleaning supplies/toiletries etc.

The house is located so well, we were so close to everything we wanted, restaurants, shops and beach. The house is immaculate and had everything we needed and more! The Roll top bath was a beautiful touch, but the views of the estuary topped it off, maybe Looe gets the the best sunshine in January??? We were gutted we didnt take sunglasses 😎

Beautiful house, perfect location, awesome scenery, and to cap it all, marvellous weather.

Stand-alone bath in bedroom would do well with having the option of a screen for privacy as two people sharing the room may not necessarily be partners. The mattresses in the smallest room could do with being renewed as one of them had a dip which made it quite uncomfortable to sleep. Also, the wording about the pool should be changed to make it more transparent that the pool is not actually at the property. When I first saw the description, that was the first impression that it gave me until I finally read the small print.
