Milia's apartment had everythink you need to feel at home in Corfu town!

The location is great if you need to be close to Corfu Port. There is a bus stop to town nearby, a supermarket just round the corner and a few eateries. The view from the balcony is great.

The apartment is accessible only via the stairs and the building looked as if it was under renovation. It may cause some inconveniences if you have large heavy luggage. The shower is not enclosed and it caused the floor to be quite wet.

We rent the nice renovated apartment last minute, due to cancellation of our previous host; somewhat overpriced, understandable due to the last-minute and popularity of Corfu Town at the given time. We booked for three nights at the end. Good, functional location in the port, ideal for getting an early ferry to one of the many destinations available. A pleasant stroll to the old town takes about 10 mins. The apartment itself -in a soon-to-be-renovated building, as we were informed) was clearly above the average, with a good taste in decoration and functional equipment; there were available even accessories not usually present in rental apartments. Nice set of plates, pots, glasses, cutlery etc. (except knives, see below). Warm welcome from the managing lady with some croissants for the breakfast, typical Greek style - appreciated. Overall, the apartment -despite some unexpected omissions which can be fixed with minimal efforts (see below) - has a potential of an above-the-average place, which in normal conditions would go more than 4-4.5 in the overall scoring.

While the overall apartment was clean, stylish and tidy, some omissions blocked us to give a higher rate - e.g. In the bathroom, small shower cabinet (which could live with, to be clear), which was leaking some water to the floor, probably also due to its partial dismantling from the wall. Also, the toilet was not flushing without a manual intervention (the apartment manager informed us for this during our arrival and promised to fix it asap - did not). In the bedroom, which was nicely / minimally decorated, the bed linen fell short fit (probably for a smaller bed size). While the whole apartment was clean, the lamp on top of the bed was dusty. The knives were all useless, and could not cut properly even bread or a watermelon - so, the breakfast was not very easy to prepare ;-) ; in our request for a working knife, the apartment manager promised that she will get one (did not). At the 3rd day, we informed her that it was useless to bring one (we had a very early departure the morning after). With a small effort, the apartment can be at the top 10% of its class; we may give it another try if we are back.
