Relaxing weekend away with friends

The location is lovely. We walked to the falls. Detailed handbook is inside the property. Outside shower in the entrance is amazing. Wood burning stove - great and a generous amount of wood is given as a starter pack with the stove and with the hot tub. The cottage on a whole is fabulous. The beds are very comfortable and we all had an amazing weekend relaxing.

The dishwasher was broken unfortunately and the bath leaked - we worried about the damage we may cause by having any further baths, so this luxury was now removed from the weekend. The hot tub is natural with no chemicals used - if you're not aware of this you only find out once at the property.

Rustic charm

Liked the rustic charm, the location, terraced balconies. Beds were comfortable. Enough toilets for a larger group. Plenty of electric sockets in all rooms.

Exterior could have been better presented. Loose brick on the steps potentially hazardous. Summerhouse unusable. One of the settees in the living room in need of repair. Stairs would benefit from a bannister - one of our group, in her seventies, felt a little nervous when descending.

Amazing views from the back of the property. Very spacious. Lovely hot tub. Lots of outdoor space to the rear. Good location. Plenty of local walks. Both showers were great. Lots of toilets inside and out. Pictures online don't do it justice, so much nicer in person.

The location and view of the property

The hot tubs jets and lights did not work. Therefore was just a tub of hot water. There was faeces left in the toilet upstairs which questions what else was not cleaned as that was disgusting to see during our stay.

Perfect place in a fantastic quiet location

Great location, lovely views and walks, well stocked with all you could need. Very comfortable and clean with lots of space both in and out. Weather wasn’t too good during our visit but we know there are good walks etc nearby. Very happy with everything and the owners are really helpful and care a lot about your stay.

Amazing weekend with the girls, hot tub was fabulous, lots of laughing and all in all a perfect little break.

Beautiful scenic location, stunning views, immaculately clean, comfortable beds, well equipped and toasty warm.

Quite far from Llangollen, we did know this but had hoped to walk in initially, but saying that we drove and in, parked overnight and got taxis back which were excellent.

Great proprty in peaceful location with good pub yards away. Hottub was fab.

Great property and facilities. Helen was great to communicate with and had everything ready even though we only booked the day prior. Location is fantastic. So peaceful, yet having a decent pub a few steps away and great parking spaces. Really enjoyed the hottub and listening to the river (though glad we weren't sitting in it when lightning struck the chapel very close by!!) Very spacious house with good facilities. Did some great walks up behind the cottage and over to Valle Crucis Abbey. Will definitely be back to do some more walking (and soaking). Thanks again

Property was very dirty. Not cleaned before we arrived . Outside balcony area not swept, BBQ not cleaned out from last quests. Floors dirty, sofas filthy under seat cushion, curtain rail off wall, mould on wall. Too many issues to mention. Photos taken off all

Amazing location I’ll be back. Loved going to horseshoe falls 5 min away.

The lake was amazing as long as you can make it down safe. The out door area had shelter as well as open area and loads of seats on each section. The old look on the property.

The living room did not have carpet but saying that it has dogs in, so understand why. Just wish I took slippers.

Great location next to river. Clean, and a great mixture of tradition of the building and modern comfort. Owner communication prior to stay was very helpful.
