Beautiful relaxed weekend

House was lovely and quaint, we had a great weekend. hot tub needed extra chlorine as water was murky after use. A pergola over the hot tub would be a great for when it rains - little suggestion x

The views from the cottage where outstanding and sitting in the log fired hot tub looking over the countryside was so relaxing . beds where comfy and there was a well stocked kitchen with kitchen equipment etc

T he heating is on all the times so it gets warm but you can turn each individual radiator down or off . The bathroom radiator was noise sound like it was filling up and was loud

Immaculate and delightful holiday home

Our property keys were in a lock box situated at the back of the property - the host (Helen) was very apologetic that she could not meet us in person but this wasn't a problem at all as the code for the lockbox and other necessary information was provided well in advance so we had no issues. I stupidly put the wrong postcode into the satnav but if you do it right the first time you have no issues at all! The property was immaculate - one of the cleanest places I've ever stayed. It is secluded, which is what we wanted - unfortunately the local pub right outside was closed for refurbishment but we did a 5 minute drive to Horseshoe Falls and walked along the canal into the town of Llangollen and stayed there for the afternoon/evening. The property had all amenities you could need, plenty of cooking equipment and utensils and board games to boot. It was very comfortable, clean and we would return in the future - highly recommend.

Nothing we didn't like. Only tiny thing would be that we couldn't find the thermostat to turn the heating down but in all honesty we could have looked more or asked the host.

Good, but needed a homely touch!

The cottage is set in a beautiful location and is very pretty, a stones throw from Llangollen perfect for what we needed, if peace and tranquility is what you are looking for then this definitely is the place, lots of lovely walks and bike rides close by!

For 2 nights stay it was rather expensive! There was no, tea, coffee, milk! We have stayed in lots of different self catering properties, but have never been to one that has had no tea, coffee or milk, after a long drive it would have been most welcome! No shops close by, however there is a small pub within around a 10 minute walk. The steps outside the property are rather steep and unsteady with no hand rail.

Ideal location, perfect property.

Superb property! Travelled as a group of 5 friends, and this cottage was just lovely. Clean, well maintained and well equipped with everything needed to enjoy the stay. Beds were very comfortable, views were beautiful and the sound of the river was so relaxing. Ideal location too- far away enough for the peace and quiet but only 10 minutes drive to the local town. Communication with the host was also great, very pleased overall.

Beautiful riverside hideaway

The cottage is in excellent condition, with stylish decor, really comfortable beds and the views were magical, not to overlook the gentle sound of the river in the background, which I think has been mentioned in every review.

Hard to say. A bigger bbq would be great, as we spent every evening cooking outside but there was a pizza oven too, so no lack of outdoor cooking options!

Prefect break

It was brilliant! The house was amazing. The facilities were excellent. The location was beautiful. It was the prefect blend of stylish and comfortable. The owner was accommodating and helpful. It had everything you could ever need, including an extensive library for all ages. I can't wait to stay there again, and enjoy the other three seasons in this fantastic cottage. Thank you for a perfect break.

A lovely dog friendly cottage for those wanting to enjoy peace, walks and countryside.

Beautiful location and lovely, comfortable, and warm cottage. Great communication from the owners as always. Secure garden for the dogs and space to sit and view the river and listen to the birds. Ideal base to experience a range of walks and easy access to Llangollen.

The views were stunning,it was close to mountain walks and the cottage clean and the best beds so comfy just what was needed after long days. Excellent place dog loved the enclosed garden

Beautiful scenery and lovely cottage with very thoughtful little touches. Had everything we’d need in the cottage, even down to wood for us to burn on the log burner! Provisions were made for us to arrive a lot later than expected and the host was exceptionally friendly and easy to contact throughout our stay…very helpful with any queries we had!

We enjoyed every moment at Riverside Cottage. A beautiful property with a pretty garden and fantastic views. The sound of the river from below was so tranquil. We were very lucky to have a couple of days of sunshine which made our stay even more perfect. The bed was super comfortable. Upstairs and downstairs bathroom was brilliant with my husband having a bad leg. One of the nicest places we have stayed at. 😍 Communication from the host was great.

Excellent idyllic-set cottage overlooking the river

The cottage is beautiful. Spacious & private garden and the property overlooks the river. The cottage is a perfect size for a small family. We actually took our parents (along with the two of us and our 10 year old). The double/single bunk bed worked fine for us with our daughter for 2 nights letting our parents have the master bedroom. The upstairs is snug but easily manageable for a short break. Two bathrooms and toilets (one downstairs) so enough for privacy. The cottage was spotlessly clean, beds extremely comfortable with good quality linen. We met the owners, on arrival, who were very welcoming & helpful. Highly recommend the property and would certainly re-book.
