Great homely cottage, well recommend!

The check in from when we arrived was so handy, then walking in to such a warm cosy cottage that had a beautiful set up with a homely feel in each room. Beds were comfortable, great facilities all set up for everyone to enjoy and the kids loved the board games. Great location! Only 20 minutes drive from Wild Ireland. We'll be back and would recommend!

Ideal base for the area

Comfortable cottage in good location which suited our needs perfectly. Good mattresses. Plenty of towels. Well equipped kitchen. Good electric shower. Nice to have a washing machine available and somewhere to hang washing.

Seems no hot water unless the heating is on and we did not need heating as the weather was warm. Happily the shower was electric and good but no hot water for washing up etc.

Lovely comfy stay near beach and town

so cosy and comfortable, beds were great. Kids loved the projector to wind down after busy days out, and talking to the two sheep in the field!

Nothing really, it’s a little bit outside the town but we wanted somewhere quiet and were happy to drive around with kids and all their beach gear.

Red Gate Cottage was perfect for our weekend break. Everything you needed was there and Julie, the host, was easily reachable. All in all a great place to stay.

Wonderful place to stay!

I loved this cottage! So peaceful and quiet and clean. Lots of available blankets to cuddle in to watch tv before bed. Our kids had a blast! And the little fire to welcome us was amazing!! Thanks guys!

Spotless. Great views out across the old Church and valley. Three really good sized bedrooms. Kitchen and living space really cosy with a great wood burning stove. Also very peaceful in amongst farmland and cattle. Short walk to Buncrana town centre and Swan Park.

Family break in beautiful Buncrana

The cottage is very well located. Close to Buncrana town and beach. We were welcomed by the host when we arrived and the house was spotless, cosy and homely. We would love to return sometime and would highly recommend this property.

Lovely warm place, you'll feel like in your own home. We were visiting with 2 children, we all enjoyed a stay, definitely will be back again , totally recommending for short or long stay. In the house you'll find everything you might need, and location is just perfect 🥰

It was based in a lovely area just outside of the town and had everything we needed in the property

We did have to get a taxi each night into town but the service was very quick and reliable so it wasn’t an issue

Perfect in every way

Loved this property ! It had everything we needed and more to be honest. The hosts had put lights and heating on for us prior to our arrival which was fantastic because it was freezing! Beds were comfortable there was plenty space in the house for us all. Towels and bedding were clean and fresh. The whole house was spotless. There was plenty hot water for baths, which we made the most of because we don’t have one at home. It was really close to town and where my brother lives so it was perfect and we will definitely book here again. The view was amazing too !
