Bamburgh Under Canvas

Enclosed area around the yurt ideal for our dog. Peaceful quiet location.

The footpath into bamburgh was part road then through overgrown hedges,weeds & bushes which needs addressed to make it a more accessible enjoyable walk into the village.

Very clean and comfortable - bed was very comfortable. Nice little log burner in the tent, which was needed…. Good quality tents and pretty decent shower/toilet facilities. Big wheelbarrows provided to help more luggage and gear. Great location too.

No signs anywhere, poor lighting for getting to the loo at night, one or two things broken/missing. The advert said ‘fridge’, which led us to believe there was power in the tents, but it was a cold box (good one tbh) and therefore no power. Lights and power pack provided but we would have come better equipped if the advert had been more accurate. A guard around the log burner would be sensible as well as useful to dry things on.

The location was beautiful, the accommodation was clean and comfortable. The wood stove warmed the place up nicely and it was easy to use. And it’s dog-friendly which we love.

It was a bit of a schlep from the car to the tent, but that is to be expected. Would be best to stay for more than one night.
