WYZ Athens Apartments by UPSTREET

Great stay overall. The location is very convenient — about 15 minutes’ walk to Hadrian’s Arch and 8 minutes to the metro (3 stops to the Acropolis). A large supermarket is just across the street, which is very handy. The apartment is well-equipped with a full kitchen, washing machine, and dryer. The shower was nice with reliable hot water, and towels and shampoo were provided (though soap was missing). Air conditioning (with heating) worked perfectly. The bed was comfortable, but an extra pillow would improve it. A big plus is the free, secure luggage lockers in the basement for early arrivals, with optional early check-in for a fee. Overall, a comfortable and practical place to stay.

There were a few downsides. Even though the apartment was spotless, there was a strong cigarette smell upon arrival (management apologized and confirmed a strict non-smoking policy). The street outside is quite noisy, making it difficult to sleep with the window open. Also, despite staying for two weeks, no cleaning service or basic cleaning supplies (not even a broom) were provided unless booked for an additional fee.

The apartment was well-situated near a Metro station and well-equipped (utensils, iron, washer, dryer). The hosts were also very reactive and responded to all of our questions.

Since the apartment was located near a main road, it was noisy at times and we could hear the cars running outside.

Location was great, about a seven minute walk to the metro. The unit was really quiet, the soundproof windows made for a restful night sleep. The unit was warm, I stayed in the winter and the radiator in the bathroom was wonderful.

I enjoyed my day, I will return again!
