great place

nice place, clean, all the attractions near (aprox. 20 min walk). It is faster to go for a walk than use public transportation. Also, next to the train station - a big plus since we used Bologna as a base for visiting Modena, Maranello, Florence and Imola.

Another wonderful stay at Giorgi homes and Bologna.

I've booked at Giorgio homes perhaps 5 times over the past several years, but each time had a different apartment -- these vary in size but in every instance have more than met my needs. The complex is just a 2 minute walk from the central rail station, in the Bolognina district of the city. It is tranquil and safe, both day and night, and the center of the city is at most a 15/20 minute walk, which is easy in any weather due to the system of porticoes throughout the center of Bologna. The apartments -- and this one -- a meticulously cleaned and well maintained, with simple but modern furnishings. The bath is similarly modern and clean, with a large shower and bidet. Since I have stayed in the district on multiple occasions, I can attest to numerous bars and restaurants so that if, like me, a guest often prefers eat out rather than preparing meals in the modern kitchen, it is easy and economical. Checking in is done online, and meeting the manager of the apartment complex is prearranged and easy. The complex uses key cards rather then keys, an the level of security is high, with an outer gate to the complex and then with key cards to any of the apartments arranged around an inner courtyard. All in all, a very special apartment complex for self-sufficient visitors like myself who do not require hotel-style services.

My only complaint is that the complex is not always affordable for me, as apartment prices vary considerably depending on the season and demand. On this visit, the rental was extremely reasonable, but at times the fees are, in my opinion, excessive.

Feels like a private apartment and this is a big plus. Another good thing is it’s so close to the main railway station.

It’s a bit far from the city center but that’s not a big problem, it’s fine. The apartment was overheated we needed to keep the windows open though lowering the heat from the control unit didn’t really worked. While having a shower the hot water always turned into warm water.

Spacious, easy access stay.

Very spacious room, recently renovated probably, well equipped kitchenette to prepare breakfast or a light meal. Location was very convenient for us as it right next to the train station and we travelled by train to other cities, and also very walkable distance to the historic city center.

There was mold in the shower area, on the tile grout and the bottom of the shower. The bathroom is not efficiently aired as the fan is not powerful enough, so the humidity gets trapped but this should have been cleaned better. Room had a bit of a humidity issue overall (Bologna is famously humid), the A/C unit was not easily operable or not responding to the controller so we could not operate the de-humidifying option. Nothing tragic, but more of a bother.

2 minutes walk to the train station. Very good heating in the room. The room was very clean.

Near to train station, clean apartment. There were enough drawers and closets to put your stuff. People were kind, easy check-in.

The location was convenient and the property as a whole felt very safe and the staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating.

Value for money

3 min walk from the back side of the central railway station, 20 min walk until Piazza Maggiore. The room was very clean, comfortable sofa bed and quite big, recently nicely renovated, heating was according to your taste, very useful small space to leave the shoes and having air coming inside the room. Ares was very friendly and spoke English perfectly!!! There were two water bottles waiting for us in the room! Washing machines available for free and a venting machine with coffee for 0.80€. Quiet neighborhood outside the city center just enough to feel safe.

The pillows were too flat for our taste. Asked for an extra pillow but there was none available..

Exceptionally comfortable, clean, private and welcoming.

I usually try to take an apartment with Giorgi Homes when I visit Bologna, although often there is no availability for the period I wish to visit there, or, the price at the time is a bit beyond what I am willing to pay. The apartments in which I have stayed when I rented with Giorgi Homes have always been wonderful: clean, spacious, and well-designed. The location could not possibly be better for a traveler such as myself. It is in a quiet, lovely neighborhood, just steps from the train station. There is a wonderful bar/restaurant two minutes on foot from the apartment, as well as others in the neighborhood. The manager at the facility has always been exceptionally accomodating of my arrival times, and is warm and welcoming. He explains everything perfectly, and though not always on the premises, is easy to reach. They apartments are well-furnished, and for longer stays the kitchens certainly have most of the things one needs to prepare meals if that is what one wants to do. I value the apartments for their location, cleanliness, security and privacy. I love the inner courtyard with the vending machines where one can grab a bottle of water, a snack or freshly brewed espresso. I have stayed at several other apartments nearby, also nice, but Giorgi is by far my favorite.

Great location but lacking other necesseties

The location was without a doubt the best part of this accommodation, as it lies within a short walking distance to the city center of Bologna. The room and hotel was generally also quite clean.

The very restricted availability of staff which had negative direct implications. We asked for a change of towels after 3-4 days at the hotel, but the request was forgotten and they never got back to us. Toilet paper ran out and no possibility to get any more from the hotel. Most often there was no visible staff at the hotel, so there was no one to turn to to ask for immediate help.

We liked the spacious, modern and clean apartment. Federico from the reception was very friendly to us and helped in advance via WhatsApp answering or questions about parking and the local ZTL.

The apartment was spacious and very clean, the beds were extremely comfortable and the dividing wall gave the perfect amount of privacy. Ares was also extremely helpful and very welcoming!

First time it happened to us that there was limited toilet paper. For 4 persons family we got 2 rolls for 7 days. We were informed that the rest we have to buy ourself. Same with washing liquid etc... In the bathroom the water was going out from shower onto the floor. No dishwasher.

Brilliant location, super close to the train station. Clean and exactly what it looked like in the pictures. Good communication and was really easy to get the keys.

The only thing we didn’t like was that the curtain in the bedroom was quite thin and let in a lot of light. Would maybe be worth investing in a blackout blind or something.

The host waited for me outside before my arrival.

Low maintenance of the bathroom facilities: The toilette seat was loose, and the shower's door knob fell apart. I had to notify them twice until they fixed the seat and notify them for the third time until the knob was set with two of the room kitchen knives! The toilette seat got loose and unattached again. No room cleaning and towel change, even once a whole week. I wasn't guided on where to throw the mixed trash. It turned out that it was needed a city card for it.

Great apartment in a good area if you are looking for traveling outside Bologna!

The apartment was really nice, big and clean. The location was good because it was close to the central station (but a bit far from the city center). Our host (Ares) was very kind and welcoming. The facilities in the kitchen were comfortable and useful. The bed was big and comfy. The area around the building was very quiet. There are a lot of storage places in the apartment. There was also a laundry room we could use, and an iron for the clothes. Thank you!

Some of the facilities need an improvement: the hot water in the shower runs out pretty quickly; the toilet lid was loose and not stable. There should be a local phone or more accessibility for booking a taxi because you can only book if you have a local number (and a lot of tourists do not have). Our host eventually helped us, but it tool a while until we got the help we needed. Other than that, everything was really good :)

Location is good, building is modern, bathroom and main bed were good. Space is limited, but it is usual for Italy.

We didn't like noise from nearby laundry. Kitchen is with limited number of items and no condiments at all, also no garbage bags were supplied. Neighborhood looks like mainly for immigrant, walking at night could be uncomfortable.

Convenient and spacious apartment

We wanted to stay near the train station and it was an easy walk. There are plenty of restaurants and a mini mart nearby which was convenient. The unit was roomy and Andrea who checked us in past midnight was super kind and communicative!

Some toiletries weren’t refilled and there was no place to put shampoo/soap in the shower. They also give just one key card, I wish we had a 2nd one.
