Starhost - CASA GIULIA, a stone's throw from the rail station, shopping boulevard and seafront

Communication with host is great, I was sent check in information on Whatsapp on the day of my arrival - you don't need a key for the building or apartment door. Mara was available throughout the week to deal with any questions, and always responded promptly. Very much appreciated. The apartment is close to the train station, if you are arriving by train it's only 10 minutes walk to the apartment building. This is also really good if you are exploring nearby places by train, e.g. Vietri-Sul-Mare or Paestum, you are at the station and on the train quickly. It's a big apartment so plenty of space whether you are a solo traveller like me, a couple, two friends travelling together, or a group of four. With two bathrooms and a sofa bed option you've more than enough room. Has all the facilities to self cater - hob, microwave, kettle, fridge, cutlery, glasses/mugs etc.... There is also a very good supermarket just round the corner for any supplies you might need to buy, open early morning to late at night. Excellent central location in Salerno: Corso Vittorio Emanuele, the main shopping street, is 2 minutes away for designer and high street names - which leads straight into the historic Old Town for sightseeing. The Lungomare is 10 minutes walk for a daytime or evening stroll along the seafront with bars and cafes.

Nothing for me that I didn't like.

Ottima posizione vicinissima alla stazione e in zona centrale ma silenziosa. Casa grande, ben strutturata, con due bagni ed ascensore. Arredata in maniera intelligente, moderna ed essenziale, a mio parere in una casa vacanza un aspetto favorevole. Staff sempre disponibile da remoto e cortese.

Ho trovato tutto ottimo. Solo un suggerimento: Visto che i cuscini presenti sono abbastanza sottili suggerirei di metterne qualcuno in più in maniera tale che chi ha esigenza di un maggiore spessore li possa sovrapporre.

L’appartamento è davvero ben fatto, ha un’ottima posizione vicino la stazione, ben curato nei dettagli ed agevole

Il letto per i nostri gusti non era molto comodo

The place itself was spotlessly clean & very spacious. Having two bathrooms was very nice, even for just 2 people. Having a clothes washer was EXCELLENT, with a drying rack to dry. After several Italian lodgings where the AC was only able to make the rooms "not too hot", it was pretty wonderful to have a place that got actually cool, despite the very hot weather! In fact, it got a few degrees cooler than we liked, & when the AC didn't respond to us raising the temp via the remote, we opened a (screened, yay!) window to modulate the temperature. Location was decent; convenient to train, but a bit of a walk to most things to do or eat. The shower had terrific water pressure, but felt rather tight, mostly from stepping around the weird drain.

We misunderstood about having a balcony? There is a door-sized window that opens a few inches onto a balcony, but there didn't appear to be a way to go out there. We could be mistaken, we were kind of afraid to break the window/door thing, but it definitely was attached in a way that seemed like it wouldn't work. So if you reeeally want to chill on a balcony, this probably aint your spot. Nice big fridge, but sadly no freezer; we like it when we're able to pre-freeze waters to take on excursions when it's so hot out.
