Our host Rafael started our trip by truly sharing Portuguese warmth, thinking of our every need and sharing his family and house story. It made this a very personal and authentic experience. He picked us up and transported our bags and us from the parking lot. So awesome! The kitchen had all we needed and he consideratey left us some breakfast treats. The kids loved it and we all thought he was THE BEST! :) The 7 year said he never thought he would stay in a real house by a castle! The beds were comfortable. The garden patio was great for hanging out when it rained, as it was covered. Don't miss the Obidos swing with great city view outside the back garden door and up a few steps. An absolutely charming stay! Thanks, Rafael!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful property in the charming town of Óbidos. Raphael is an exceptional host who truly goes above and beyond to make your stay memorable. His personalised approach offers far more than just accommodation - we felt immersed in an authentic Portuguese experience. Hearing about the history of the property and the surrounding area from someone so passionate and knowledgeable made our stay even more special.
The house itself is delightful - spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed. Although we stayed for only two nights, we would happily have stayed much longer. Raphael very kindly provided basic kitchen staples, which were greatly appreciated. He was also incredibly helpful with transport, collecting us from the train station, taking us to the house, and then ensuring we made our early train on departure day.
We truly cannot recommend this property highly enough. If we could give more than ten stars, we absolutely would.

The AMAZING host Rafael! He picked us up from the bus stop and drove us to the house. He left us food so we didn’t need to go to the shop! He gave us recommendations and he drove us to our bus in Caldas da Rainha when we left! Outstanding host!!
The outside area was fabulous too for coffee in the sun!

Great host - came and collected our bags from the car and drove us to the house. Walked us through and explained everything.
Great location - within the village walls.
Big house and huge backyard.
No fault of the host, however the neighbors have a couple roosters that did not stop from 3:30am onwards.
