Comfortable stay in well appointed cottage high above the village centre

Clean, roomy and very well equipped. Cottage restoration performed to very high standard. Everything worked as it should and oozed quality.

Relatively minor issues but since you asked: Arrival after dark, the entrance is not very welcoming. Parking spot easy to locate but from there to the front door not easy without any lighting. Torch strongly recommended for the first time visitor. Steep roads and paths were expected but degraded surface quality and sharp edges were a risk to tyres when driving and tripping when walking in the dark.

Great location overlooking the sea with the added bonus of a garden and parking which is unusual for Robin Hoods Bay. There was ample space for the 6 adults in our party. This is a lovely property which has been thoughtfully and tastefully decorated

Exceptional cottage in an exceptional location

The cottage was immaculate, exceptionally well decorated with thoughtful touches everywhere. Everything we needed was there and the views from every window were spectacular. Highly recommend!

Beautiful cottage with sea view

The property has been renovated to a good standard and is well equipped and cosy inside. The garden is big and well looked after perfect if you have children or like to sit outside. We loved the location with the sea views and 10 minute walk through the cobble streets to the sea front and lower Robin Hood Bay. The warmth of the cottage varied and was sometimes not very warm we did speak to Jane the owner and she increased the thermostat temperature for us which did help. This has not put us off staying here again though we loved the property still.

Overall a very pleasant stay, relaxing bolthole with plenty of pubs/cafes/restaurants.

Very comfortable and cosy, good quality finishes and kitchen well equipped. Lovely view from sea facing bedrooms. Nice garden. Plenty room for 3 cars.

Poor water pressure, only one person able to shower at a time and with 6 adults in the party it was not good. Attic bed difficult for couple to get in and out of. Access road difficult to manoeuvre.

An absolute gem!

We had a fabulous relaxing break at the very lovely '2 Coastguards Cottages.' The sea views are divine! The cottage is really well appointed and has everything you need. There are so many thoughtful touches. We loved the log-burning stoves in the dining room and the lounge, and the garden is a delight. 2 parking spaces is a plus in Robin Hoods Bay - but the steep zig zag track up the hill is a tad challenging. The owners and the housekeeper are very friendly and helpful.

A perfectly wonderful stay in all respects.

Property was a beautiful and charming coastal cottage with excellent facilities throughout. Perfectly located on the North Yorkshire coast with stunning walks and easy access to numerous beauty spots.

Exceptional

Beautiful interiors. Very tastefully decorated and thought out. Cosy, with wood burning fires. Comfortable beds and each room with gorgeous views. The top floor bedroom is divine. Sit with a glass of wine, book, and look out to sea. In my case, I was listening to rain tapping the window which was also bliss. Ridiculously well equipped. Everything you could possibly need. Here are a few random examples: cheese board, blu tack, kids toilet seat and step, fishing nets and beach toys, spare folding seats, hand blender, spice rack collection, a couple of logs to get our first fire started. Garden lovely with table and chairs to sit out and enjoy nothing but birdsong and leaves blowing in the breeze. Host was happy for us to use washing machine and tumble dryer in the equally well-equipped shed.

Enjoyable stay in well-equipped cottage

Fabulous location, with great view of the sea and over Robin Hood's Bay ( so long as you can cope with the short steep hill to reach it :)) Very clean, and well equipped, comfy beds, and the refurb has been done to a great standard. A lovely 7 mile coastal walk gets you to Whitby, which is a great place to visit. Dedicated parking on site. Fab attic room with it's own en-suite.

We weren't aware til too late that there is a freezer in the outhouse, perhaps we missed the info.
