Skiddaw Skies

Location was amazing - just a minute walk down a quiet road into town. We recommend getting a coffee from Fabrica which is just 2 mins from the house. Great coffee. Instead of walking down the road into town, you can head the other way and end up in Fitz Park which is lovely. We didn't use a car, but there was parking. Stunning mountain views from basically all rooms. Plenty of towels and basic necessities like milk sachets, coffee and cleaning essentials for when you just arrive. Cozy kitchen and spacious living room. The kitchen was well equipped. It had what you need to cook at the house. Had coffee machine, kettle, microwave and extra bits like cafetiere. Living room was cozy and had a dining table to eat at. Lots of board games, dvds and books to make use of in the evening. The settees were also very comfy. Good wifi and no problems with it. Easy to connect. The digital guide was handy as it gave us options for food and walks. It also provided us with the instructions we needed. Neighbours were quiet. The 3 bathrooms were good. Showers had good pressure and hot water. The master bedroom with the ensuite was comfy and spacious. Had good storage. We were provided with extra blankets if it got a bit chilly in the evening. Balcony was a lovely addition with lovely views, although we only used it once as we got back late every night! There was just 2 of us, but the property would be great for families as it has 5 beds and a spacious living room. A great property to stay at. Would come back again 😁

The property had a lot of dust and some bits on the carpet, but not really a big deal. The pillows in the bedrooms were a bit high, which can be uncomfortable. The property is split into 4 floors, and there are a lot of stairs, so keep that in mind. The entrance to the property is also up some steep steps. The kitchen could also do with a tea towel, as we couldn't find one.
