double check before you book

we have booked this location as it had a 9,3 rating at the time and the Côte d’Azur area was pretty booked early September. As it was pretty expensive and it had a 9,3 score we thought it should be OK. Unfortunately it was not. by no means this could be a 9,3 location as we found out later when checking on ratings of the same place under a different name. this other place has a below 6 rating and many complaints and moreover this was less than half the cost. if we would have known this we would never have booked here. obviously Booking did not check this either and has no incentive to do so. the whole place is outdated, in the wrong area of Cannes and not at all the price/value you expect at this price and rating. Hope my review will balance the reviews better and can help others to make a better decision.

Familienurlaub in La Bocca

Die Gastgeber sind super freundlich. Sie antworten sofort und kümmern sich direkt, falls es ein Problem gibt. Sie sind flexibel und entspannt bei Check-in und Check-out Zeiten. Die Wohnung ist renoviert und sehr sauber, die Klimaanlage hat ordentlich power, so dass es schnell kühl wird in der Wohnung. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Es gibt keinen Backofen, aber dafür Mikrowelle und Airfryer. Ein Kaffeevollautomat inklusive Bohnen ist ebenfalls vorhanden. Für unser Kleinkind wurde extra noch ein Reisebettchen sowie ein Hochstuhl gekauft. Es gibt einen sehr guten Parkplatz in einer Tiefgarage, die direkt zum Haus gehört ( 10€/Tag). Der Strand ist in kurzer Zeit zu Fuß zu erreichen. Auch eine Bushaltestelle um innerhalb von 10 min zur Stadt zu gelangen ist quasi vor der Haustür und es fahren viele Buslinien so dass man nicht lange warten muss. Es gibt zwei große Swimmingpools mit Liegen, die gut gepflegt sind.

In der Wohnung riecht es im Badezimmer zeitweise merklich aus dem Abfluss, der Gastgeber hat aber versucht das Problem sofort zu beheben. Die Villa Maupassant in der sich die Wohnung befindet ist leider stark in die Jahre gekommen und wirkt verlassen und stellenweise verkommen. Der Gang zum Pool ist eine verlassener Raum, der wohl mal als "Salon" diente, mit schmutzigen Teppichböden, Hausrat den keiner mehr benötigt ect...auch der Geruch und die Luft sind schlecht. Eine größere Terasse, die auf dem Bildern zu sehen ist, ist leider ebenfalls verdreckt und wird nicht gepflegt. Am Pool gibt es leider keine Sorgenschirme und so gut wie keine Schattenplätze. Insgesamt schmälert dies leider den sehr guten Gesamteindruck der Wohnung. Wir wissen auch das die Gastgeber, hierfür keine Schuld trifft, fanden es aber wichtig diesen Aspekt zu erwähnen. Auch sollte man sich von den Google Rezensionen zur Villa Maupassant nicht abschrecken lassen, denn diese haben nichts mit der hier angebotenen Wohnungen zu tun. In der Gesamtbetrachtung finden wir allerdings, dass der Preis für die Unterkunft zu teuer ist.
