In My Style Apartman

Amazing host, great location (5 mins from Fisherman’s Bastion), cozy street in historic part of Budapest. Lots of space inside. Has everything you would need for a couple of days. Comfortable bed.

The apartment has no AC, we were in mid-August so it was pretty hot in the evening.

Very very good location, 5 minute walk from the fishermans bastion. Fully equipped kitchenette. Clean.

Shower seal was not great, everything on the bathroom floor got wet! The courtyard smelt very strong of cigarettes that came into the room when windows open.

Everything was great, such a great value for solo traveler, the location is amazing, will def return to this property again. I was in luck to find it available.

The location was quite good, close to Fisherman’s Bastion, and the nearest metro station was about a 15-minute walk away, providing easy access to the city centre. We also appreciated the contactless check-in, which was convenient.

Before our arrival, the host asked us to install an additional app on our phones in order to complete the check-in process and provide our personal details. This was the first time we had encountered such a requirement during our travels, and we found it rather inconvenient. If we had to install a separate app for every accommodation we stayed at, it would quickly become impractical. Fortunately, the host offered to complete the process for us if we sent photos of our ID documents. The property is also located on a hill, which is worth keeping in mind, as walking uphill every time you return to the apartment can become tiring. The biggest disadvantage for us was the lack of air conditioning. The room became very hot and stuffy. There was a small standing fan, but unfortunately it was not very effective, and the noise it made also made it difficult to relax and sleep comfortably. The bathroom was very poorly equipped. There were no basic toiletries such as shampoo. The only shower gel available appeared to be a cheap, already opened product, possibly left by previous guests and poured into a soap dispenser, which did not feel particularly welcoming. Another significant issue was the blocked shower drain. Every time we took a shower, the water drained extremely slowly and quickly rose up to ankle level. There was also an unpleasant, high-pitched beeping noise that occurred repeatedly throughout the day and night. It may have been coming from the water heater, but regardless of the source, it was very disturbing, especially at night, and made falling asleep difficult.
