Everything about the apartment was wonderful! Our family of 4 (2 young adults) stayed two nights at the apartment and everything was great - the rooms and kitchen are spacious and very comfortable, the bathroom was nice with great water pressure, and my wife appreciated the flat iron too! One night we had dinner and played cards outside on the patio set in the front yard. Appenzell is a beautiful, picture perfect town with beautiful, enjoyable hikes nearby. Grocery stores and train stations are all a short walk from the apartment. We would absolutely stay here again if/when we return!

We got hit with an unusual heat wave while we were there so a fan for each room would be good to have for those hot nights.

This is such a beautiful little apartment-cozy and comfortable and so much space for our family of four. The kitchen was hugely helpful, and there were so many little touches that made it feel like home.

Specific instructions on how to locate the key box and open it. The box was very easy to access. We had our keys in hand in short order and were able to settle in right away. The apartment is nicely laid out with the living room separating the two bedrooms for privacy. Aside from groceries, we didn’t need to buy anything for our stay. More than adequate household and laundry supplies were provided. Our host had thought of everything a visitor might need. Everything was spotlessly clean and tidy. Loved all of the light streaming in and the views of town, the alps, and the Swiss brown cows. Great windows to either fully open or tilt for a mountain air cross breeze. Nice touches in table linens, board games. We had step-by-step instructions on how to use the tv. Very nice and easy to follow. Our host checked on us via email during our stay, had welcome and parting gifts for us even when a family member was ill. She also arranged the Appenzeller card for us which we used on numerous occasions. For location, it can’t be beat. Easy walk from the train station through the heart of the town. It’s right around the corner from the grocery stores. You do not need a car, but I find that true in all of Switzerland. Close to restaurants and points of interest.

The home was perfect for us. Very spacious and it felt like a home to us. We loved fixing our own meals and sitting on the back deck and listening to the cowbells on the mountains. Perfect! Location was great. Could walk to everything in town. Easy walk from the train station. Very close to grocery store. Biking was awesome!!! Would definitely return to this home. This town is adorable!!!!

Liked everything about this place! We were on the third floor so had to navigate steps which was not a problem for us but may be an issue with a person with mobility issues.

The apartment was very quiet, clean, comfortable and in an excellent location to visit the town. The space was wonderful with a large, well-stocked kitchen (including coffee machine and pods). The hosts were incredibly generous and helpful when we left some items behind and made sure that they were forwarded to us. Their efforts were well above and beyond. We highly recommend staying here!

Location was great! It was very close to great shops and restaurants in the town center. Apartment was fully stocked and had everything we need. It was great having access to laundry facilities on site. Host was very helpful and available to answer questions and provide information about the area.

Beds were hard and not very comfortable. Furniture and decor needs updating,

- Beautiful fully furnished home - Bed was comfortable - Wifi was strong and have tv with channels - Bathroom & toilet was clean - Free use of washing machine and dryer in the basement - Irene was very attentive and kind

- Pillow need change - The apartment has no lift - Distance a bit far from train station (614m away)

Fully equipped kitchen, one can cook everything at home.

It's an old house, one can hear how other people walk on the wooden floor above you.

This was a very good facility and an excellent location in Appenzell. The owner responded immediately to the only issue I had (connecting to the internet--my fault). I'd use this location again.

Great apartment. Clean, comfortable, lovely place. Irene and her staff were very friendly. She invited us to see the Lansdsgemeinde, the original expression of Swiss democracy. Great location on the edge of the Altstadt. Free parking and easy walk to the Coop grocery.

The apartment was wonderful! Not only was it located in the heart of Appenzell so it was easy to get to hiking, sights, and the center of town, but there was not a detail missed in making this a home away from home.
