Lovely well equipped house in a good location with excellent communication from owner

The beds were very creaky Directions to find it could be a little clearer - down the driveway next to the florist

* Excellent location – ideal for exploring the area, with shops and amenities nearby. * Lovely house – comfortable, well equipped and a great place to stay. * Friendly, communicative host – very helpful and responsive throughout. * Parking available – great to have the option, despite the tricky driveway. * Lovely courtyard garden – a really nice little outdoor space. * Well-equipped kitchen – lots of equipment available, although we didn’t use much of it ourselves. * Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend the property.

* Trains can be quite loud at night with the windows open, although this wasn’t a major issue overall. * Driveway is very narrow and tricky to access, with quite a lot of clutter. You also have to reverse all the way out directly onto a main road, which can be difficult. * Only one proper shower for two bedrooms. The second bathroom has a shower attachment over the bath, but the sloped ceiling makes it unsuitable for properly showering. * No tea or coffee provided, which would have been a nice touch, although these are easy enough to buy locally. * Bedrooms could benefit from fans, particularly during hot weather. It was very warm during our stay, and the radiators were also on when we woke up on the first morning, which made it even hotter.

The property was just what we needed with 3 toilets and all clean. Perfectly placed to walk around Whitstable whilst the car was safely parked up. Great courtyard for breakfast and evening drinks.

The local pub could be heard, but not really an issue

Me and my bridesmaids had a fabulous time staying here before my wedding day. It was the perfect size, the bedrooms were lovely and it had a characterful layout. The downstairs was spacious enough for us to do our makeup and hair, whilst still feeling cosy and welcoming. The location was incredible, being only a 10 minute walk from the church and the beach, as well as close to our hairdressers, a bakery and a co-op. The decor and aesthetic driveway made for beautiful pictures. Overall, I made memories here that will last a lifetime and I couldn't be more grateful!

The only thing that was a little bit tricky was getting our car out of the driveway. However, the hosts recommended using the pedestrian crossing to stop traffic and a kind neighbour in the florist next door helped us a couple of times, so it wasn't really an issue. Also there was a huge spider that we had to call my then fiancé (now husband!) to get rid of, but that is absolutely nothing to do with the property itself and is quite a funny memory! The noise of the trains mentioned in some reviews were not an issue at all.
